Default Give us a way to check which tomes we have used!

Under the current system there is no way for a level 20+ character to find out which heroic tome of learning he has used (if any). The same applies to a TRd character below level 20 and epic tomes of learning.

Additionally, a TRd character at low levels cannot tell which stat tomes they have used, as they re-apply gradually when the character levels up, and only the current "plus" is visible, but not the actual "size" of the tome.

It would be nice if full tome information were provided on mouse-over. For example it would be nice if a level eight TR character who checks his tome of learning sees something like "Greater Heroic Tome of Learning (Lesser Epic Tome of Learning)", and his ability tome bonuses would be shown as "tome +2 (+4)", with +2 being the currently applied bonus and +4 being the full bonus that the tome will eventually provide.

Perhaps when they add player housing, I can have a bookshelf which shows all the tomes I've used on my character. That would be cool.

    /Signed big time

I was meaning to make this thread myself but never got around to it. On one of my mains I could remember that Id nommed down a delicious +4 tome, I just couldnt recall what stat it was on. Id wanted one for both Dex and Cha, managed to get one with the intent on getting one for the other stat "later", and then TRed. Problem is come back several months down the line when I was leveling up, all I could remember is that I wanted one for both and intended to get one for the other down the line. Looking through my character sheet told me nothing about which Id used, just which was active at the time- So I just had to wait until the 4 kicked in so I could go "oohhh, I picked the charisma one".

While I can see the usefulness of such a thing, I cannot help but think of PnP and how a player has a responsibility to keep track of her character data. Until such time as what you ask for is implemented in game, might I suggest Ron's Character Planner or even a simple spreadsheet to record changes to your character that matter to you?

Ill agree that this is by all means a reasonable work around I however agree with the OP that a work around shouldnt be required- I too feel that our character sheets should display all of our relevant character information. Id like to see some tooltips for other things as well however, healing amp being one of them.

So what's the point of the in-game Character Sheet then?
Those are not pebbles surrounding the urn filled with Human teeth. They are megaliths!

To reduce the number of things you need to keep track of yourself.

Without actually commenting on the merit of your suggestion itself...

You cant open the Store and see which Tomes are not available on your character?

I know that works for figuring out what Ability Tomes you've eaten. If you've eating a +3, but your L4 TRed char only shows +1 in the Character Panel, the Store still wont let you buy a +2 or a +3 or a +2-to-3, etc. (if you have the correct option for that enabled).

Or they could just give us an API that would return this information so our community of developers could give us these tools.

In due time, I believe something will be set in place for skill tomes. And I agree it needs them. However, with stat tomes, you get the bonus at the level you would be able to use the stat tome, so just check your inherent bonus before noshing on that +3-6.

That's part of the OP's problem.
