I have long been interested in a q-staff build and now they are looking pretty solid to play. with all the staff enhancements in rogue and monk, the stout oak and sireth weapons, I am ready to get one of my alts swinging away. after doing a lot of reading on the forums, I am pretty sure I will go with a 13 rogue/6 monk/1 druid layout. the biggest decision I need to make and am really torn about is race and I am on the opposite extremes here

- Horc - total strength build with even more damage coming from Horc THF enhancements.

- Halfling - heavy dex build with a lot more self preservation with DM heals and better saves.

I am leaning a little bit towards the Halfling, as I have never had a dex based build. almost from the start DDO made getting Str so much easier that Dex builds just couldn't keep up. but with the option now to use dex for both TH and damage with staffs, the gap is much smaller. and Dex helps out with more of the rogue skills I want to boost than Str does. I also think it would be fun to see a halfing taking out the MOB's knees with a great big stick

asking for input from people that have played with either, or even better both, of these races for a staff build. what did you see as the pros / cons of them? many thanks for any feedback provided
