Bug report! I started as Iconic, did a heroic reincarnation, did an epic reincarnation, now I'm trying to do another heroic reincarnation and it says I can't. It says I must use iconic reincarnation because I am iconic - but I lost that a few lives back. And the iconic reincarnation is of course going to give me an iconic bladeforged pl feat - but I'm a human barbarian! Just FYI

Did you really do a "heroic" and not an "iconic" reincarnation?

If so, that is probably the problem. Your character was flagged as iconic and never "un-flagged" via iconic reincarnation.
