Should I ask why, or just accept it as free bonus XP?

I guess the devs didn't realize this is one of the xp farming quests. im sure the farmers wont complain.

Rebalancing the xp gains for various quests at lvl X, Y, or Z to ensure smooth levelling for players with the new XP curve.

If you don't know the optimal paths, that quest is legitimately long. Kinda like Inferno of the Damned and Shadow Crypt in that way.
Would not surprise me at all if it is a quest where the average completion time is quite long.I don't have a zerging problem.

Probably for the same reason it takes the devs 2 hours to run coal chamber.
