It is like going to a museum and bragging about how fast you made it through. Or bragging about how fast you finished a good steak.

Figure only 10%-20% of the gaming population will epic TR more than once....

And only 10% of those people (so 1%-2% total) will grind out 15+ Epic TRs...

So yeah the vast majority of us will be going for the 3 TRs for the toggles... So they need to make those good to get our business... A middle ground gold mine is a good way to put it.. 98% of the people who epic TR are going to be going for the toggles.

Well the epic destiny feats seem decent, but they certainly aren't terribly powerful. The thing is, heroic past life feats, outside of a couple very specific ones, are pretty underpowered, yet people seem to seek them out. And then if you look at something like completionist; well that's a whole ****-ton of past life collecting for a pretty marginal gain in power. So people have certainly engaged in the TR grind a lot in the past even though the returns on it aren't all that amazing.

That being said, I would prefer (if it is a choice) a specific endgame target to shoot for with a large number of relevant raids to run. One more new raid wouldn't cut it. I think they need new raids on top of making the old ones relevant. You can't be motivated to go on collecting past lives forever if there are very few high stakes settings to show off your hard work in. You can only be motivated to build if there is an eventual destination where it really matters.

A loot-pass on the old epic raids and an epicfication of Shroud/VOD/TOD would keep us busy for a year. They could bang that out by February and they take 6 months to build an actual end-game.

But of course that won't happen, because it's a good idea.

It would be rather amusing for Turbine to brag that they listen to trolls for new ideas. Sadly it probably would be accurate given how they're managing DDO.

Boy, I was looking thru Fawn's mules and came across one with tons of greensteel blanks, back from when Greensteel was king of the hill...

Yeah my point stands...they are trying to get people to pay for these things by forcing a grind and the stuff they have available is completely a waste of time in the current system.
