yes there is lag, but was able to kill dragon 5 times so not so bad.
slight lag but both runs I did in the 24-28 range were a success
mid afternoon / early evening pacific time the lag was so bad that all the high level (26-30) bracket runs i did failed,.. it wasn't until after the server dropped about 2/3's of the population that i was able to complete one in the max level bracket, after that though every one i have ran has completed just fine.
so total of 3 completions out of 6 tries... not great ratio, but good enough to eventually get some +5 tomes from mabar this year.
0 for 1 on 10-24 at 2130 EST. Lag was bad.
Ran about 10 so far, half at level 20+ (only 1 success out of 5 attempts, due to...you guessed it...LAG). The 15-19 range runs were 4 successes, 1 failed (again due to...you guessed it again...LAG).
Poor design, no truly noticeable changes from preview night. The turn-in is set to high, in my opinion. And, I think instead the way it is now, it should be much more like the Cove (post for group, either party or raid would be okay, then go in one room, have one lever, with one dragon and a handful of mobs). The whole 4 corners/4 levers more than 12 people in an instance is really just setting the group up for failure due to lag and communication problems. That many people , aoes, and mobs (gargoyles) in one instance seems to be at least a big part of the lag problem that occurs.
Anyway, I will try to run some more, if I can keep my sanity while doing so, and ONLY because I would like some +5 tomes for my toons. Maybe today, a dragon fight won't take 3+ hours to open like it did late last night.
A lot better luck in the afternoon (EST)
3 for 3 in 3 different level groups. As the evening progressed, the lag kicked in, and I left.
So far my success rates are:
L 4 - 9: 1/1
L 16 - 20: 2/2
L 25 - 28: 4/6
Both failures occured when the shadow gargoyles first spawn in the alter room. For some reason they are lagging out the instance and then no one can register damage to pull the gargoyles off the alter. We just swing away and don't get to register any hits, while the shadows go to town on the alter.
I don't yet have enough runs on the lower levels to determine if those are just lucky or less prone to lag fails.
