Default How Do I Share My DDO Experience With A Friend Via Email

    Hi All,

The question is as simple as the subject line. I want to be able to send a friend of mind subversive emails, or some other suitable form of communication, displaying the merits of DDO and including some of my derring-do to encourage him to get off of his fat behind and get his PC repaired so he can join me on DDO.

I'm unsure about which is the best way to do this and was settling on the idea of some screen dumps of combat and some of the more scenic areas of our game.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Also, is there an easy way to keep track of your posts instead of rifling through hordes of 'new posts'?

If you click on your name in the upper right, between "Welcome" and "Notifications", it'll take you to a list of your last posts.

As to your first question...no, DDO is kinda actually really boring to just watch, and its not like LOTRO where there's iconic scenery people recognize and want to explore

In conjunction, please add an NPC at the start of each quest that you can talk to and complete the quest instantly. This should be tied to guild level, so that if you're unguilded it's more dialogue boxes to click through than if you're in a Level 100 guild.

depends on your target audience really. my friends like DnD and FPS games, so DDO wasn't too hard to sell to them as it mixes both quite well. but i did that by talking to them not making them watch vids. what the vid loses is the immersive feeling the FPS style controls give you, for all the vid can show it might be a point and click game!

Thanks for your help guys (and gals if necessary). My mate is an old D&D player from way back so it's not really a hard sell. To bew honest, if he can't be bothered to get his PC up and running he isn't likely to be a dedicated ddo player. I think I'll have to forego the idea of hacking and slashing away with him.

    Thanks again.
