Default Summary of suggestions for wood problem

    1. Keep tokens for heroic hearts at current exchange rate
    2. keep cannith epic mats for tokens
    3. keep tokens bta
    4. add estar challenge to tokens
    5. adjust costs of wood for valcoms to REASONABLE amount (20 for heroic or so)
    6. make valcoms bta
    7. add more heroic sagas - I don't want to run any epic content on my TR train
    8. add for every 1000 favor earned in life valcomm reward equal to 1/3 cost of heroic heart, 1/4 iconic or epic heart.

better communication = fewer pitchforks, torches, and rotten eggs. I warned (and others did) of the incomming storm shortly after the revised release notes were posted.

All of the above although someone suggested one other idea that I find inspired:

Why not just make it so when you hit 20, you are eligible for a TR.
When you hit 28, you are eligible for an epic res.

    Done.
Rage ended, problem solved, world saved.

Here was my response to that from the same thread:

I don't have Turbine's #'s handy. I can't say for sure about this next part. It seems though like people that are TR'ing spend far more TP's on the way to 20 than the people at the cap end up spending. When you're at the cap you get your gear set and then you're done spending TP's. You don't need xp pots when you're capped. You don't need new augments unless your gear completely changes. Basically, you're a stagnant character to their bottom line. While TR'ing you're spending points on xp pots, on new augments if you alter your TR gear or don't keep a copy for every level range, etc. You're spending more.

Most people will not pay 1495 for a heart whether they get rid of tokens of the twelve or not. If you create a longer grind that people either don't want to do or take a long time to do for getting the heart you're slowing down that spending on other things.

Most people would look at your suggestion and say, "but Turbine sells it in the store...they're not going to switch it to free". Only they would - they've done it before with leveling sigils. They decided that the mechanic was hurting their business rather than helping it. Maybe your suggestion isn't the right answer - you'd have to be privy to Turbine's internal numbers to answer that. But separating grinding things from TR'ing seems like it would be a huge win for Turbine. Combine it with a new 1495 TP item that allows you to bypass the TR timer for people that HAVE to TR faster, have that bypass not available in-game at all (as it's a convenience item - not a part of the game), and you have the workings of a system that would be revenue neutral or better for Turbine AND make their customers happy.

Both for catching that and for expanding the details further.

It just makes sense to me that they would want to encourage us to play, because that is when we spend money.
Maybe that is entirely too logical? I don't know...

I love the reach 20 and get hWood - was also why I included the 1000/valcomm favor item (#8) - so by 3000 favor; which most TR3+'s nearly reach by running everything once on elite by level 20 anyways) - was finding a easy way to do it. Also - by doing it that way - those who stone of experience won't just get a free hWood.
