It is actually more of an MMORPG than DDO because in DDO people can only have 6-12 player groups, whereas in BGTSCC there have been big events involving groups of 18-30 player characters on the same maps.

In my opinion, BGTSCC is currently by far the best Dungeons & Dragons MMORPG experience outside PnP and it is certainly in an absolutely different league compared with DDO or the new Neverwinter MMO.

This game is as close to pnp as you can get, does not have the first person shooter combined with mmo that ddo has, imo, nothing does, but 3.5 builds, dm events all the time, exploring, random spawns, pvp if you want it, and uses many of the original baldurs gate terminology and maps. Great game. Since ddo is now p2w or hrs and hrs of grinding I have left for bgtscc and love it. In fact most of my guild from here now plays on this PW. Names Peridhil(that is my toon), Frado, Shevar, Algeni, Kurai, Keewee, Honeyspell, Narbondel, there is now 8 of us that no longer give ddo any of our money.

Been trying out the Elder Scrolls MMO over the past two days.
I am beyond depressed to say it's underwhelmed in nearly every way.

Really hope they breathe some life into this before launch - but for now, I am feeling kinda heartbroken over it.

I've been playing Path of Exile, very solid F2P online Diablo clone. If you're looking for an online action RPG, its worth a gander.
Or if you're not here anymore, carry on.

I am also doing that ESO this week as well and weak, boring is a perfect way to describe it. Rift is roller coaster ride compared to it.
