New Otto's Boxes in store

I've been struggling to articulate my dismay at these Otto's Boxes. A game is a game, it should be 'work'. But at the same time ... I find it ironic and rather disturbing to have the ability to (for a LOT of money, granted) basically skip over actually playing the game. What is the point of a game that doesn't even need to be played in order to advance?

What is the point of a game that doesn't even need to be played in order to advance?

Turbine implements a grind that players don't really like and offers a pay option to skip those parts. Instead of implementing a fair grind and offering other ways that impact the game a lot less, they prefer to go with fast, easy and a steady P2W profit. Short term gain and taking a chance sacrificing longevity has been their focus for awhile now.

Wow, with the new stones and TR timer reset you can get completionist in weeks. Especially if stones still stack with exp boost, then you can do more than one life a day.
