I have no idea what the ranting is about, but it doesnt look like a normal DOOOOOOM thread.

I have multiple TRs and I plan to have more. Im even thinking of making one into a completionist.
I use the normal epic tokens which i turn into True Hearts of Wood. Normally from House C or whatever I pick up along the way.

How is this being changed and what will i need to do to TR a heroic character ?

You no longer can use epic tokens to buy a true heart of wood.

Either you fork out the TP to buy one from the store,

or you trade in 900 commendations of valour which you receive from completing sagas.

The only data point we have on commendations is that someone received 17 from doing the EH MotU saga. This equates to 53 repetitions of the saga chain for a single Heroic True Heart of Wood.

Hence, doom.

EDIT: The 17 were definitely from EH, not EE.

As already written, now you need some 100 quests farmed to get a free true hearth, in the future, you need about 50 - 70 sagas run for the same. This would in about the 20-fold quantity of quests to run. This would make TRing for free something rare indeed and would greatly reduce TRing. We are talking about heroic TRing - double the figures for epic TRing.

To put it plainly. Turbine is expecting most "sane" players to get the majority of their true hearts from the DDO store. Whether or not this is a reasonable expectation remains to be seen.

Usually I farm challenges.
you can usually get a token every 5-15 min, depending on which challenge you're running and how good your group is, making it a better option than eDA, unless ofc people are handing you their tokens there.

so for me getting the tokens for a TR usually takes a several hours of mindless farming, which seems like a reasonable grind if I'm looking for a quick TR.

Snce I love the House P carnival series, I mostly farm these. but getting some 15 tokes out of a EH end chest - farming takes time then.

i only just found out what the sagas were. not that i bothered running them on purpose.

eH Servants of the Overlord currently can get you 20 tokens in 10 runs. That's not 100 quests by far.

The stuff on Lammania is still in progress. The numbers may be radically adjusted by the time it actually hits live. We shall see. I don't see them making it much more difficult to get a true heart to TR for the simple reason that I think they're beginning to realize that TRing is what keeps the game going. Freaking out over unfinished stuff on Lammania is usually not very productive.

And even then, some issues were repeatedly brought up, STILL went Live, and were only addressed months after the fact - collectable turn ins, e.g.

2. Aquire true heart of wood.
3. Visit orc druid and reincarnate.
4. Repeat steps 1-3 as long as you wish.
5. ???
6. Profit

3. Visit newly designed reincarnate NPC (or don't IDK, but they mentioned something about kruc beign irrelevant) and reincarnate.

The only change is not IN TRING but in currency needed to buy heart.
