Changes to TR heart purchases are not okay

So the tokens/fragments my friend and I spent months farming but haven't quite obtained enough to get a True Heart are now practically useless (I can get augments just fine with normal collectables...so tokens are now considered norma, not special in any way collectables)

To clarify the only issue I have is HEROIC TR requiring Epic content to be played...ITR and Epic True Hearts make sense since their well Lvl 28 required...making Heroic TR, something done by Lvl 20s require epic content is ridiculous especially since their BTC.

In short leave HEROIC LR/TR in the twelve (yes i mean add LR+0s) and put Iconic TR/Epic HoW in the sagas. Heroic stuff belong in heroic content, epic stuff belongs in epic content.

Random THought: Maybe this is just another instance of Turbine cutting ties with Eberron...sad

I'll add my voice to the disquieted. This is a terrible move, Turbine. I heard one account of a saga completion getting 17 commendations of valor. And you want us to pay 900 for just a heroic heart?!?!?!! Now I don't know what level the saga was completed at, whether it was epic or heroic, but either way, that is completely and utterly insane. On top of that, this whole change just means people who view TR as endgame will not play, plain and simple.

Rethink this, Turbine. And rethink it quickly. Otherwise U20 is going to mark a massive drop in active players.

I got more or less the same reaction when I told our guild party of the change during our Friday Evening Raidathon.

Nobody likes the change, and people are considering it game breaking enough to quit over it. ( while they didn't consider the 1 Hour nightmare per character of the Enhancement Crash gamebreaking )

I can honestly say that this change will be the final nail in the coffin of this game. I enjoy TRing much more than the endgame, and this change will kill this.
I will not run sagas over and over just to be able to TR, so there will be absolutely no reason for me to keep playing.
I am sure my wife will be thankful to Turbine for forcing me to quit this game, so if that is your motivation by all means go ahead with this change.

If I can't TR after U20 without having to grind sagas more than a few times or purchasing the heart, I'm done with the game. I'm sure others will be too. This isn't very smart. Old hearts still need to be purchasable with Tokens of the Twelve. New hearts are fine this way, as long as you at least get 50 commendations for a saga only run on EN. Otherwise this is way over grindy (might be anyway, but from my limited knowledge it sounds reasonable).

WOW... 50 coms sounds reasonable? when you need 900 coms to tr? thats running the same 7-12 quest 15 times each? even zerging that means your spending an average of 10 minutes each quest.... so thats about 24 hours of questing for a tr... im sorry but that doesnt sound reasonable to me.

Except tokens are BTA, so you could transfer however many you wanted to any of your toons and then buy the hearts on the toons that need them.

How many TR's is anyone really going to get that are of any use from their bonus tokens.

You would still have to grind through those TR's.
I still ground epics for items I wanted and for XP. as a result I have more Epic tokens legitimately than I will ever need for TR'ing my toons.

This new mechanic screws me out of the usefulness of my tokens I have accumulated., I don't give a ***** about someone who got bonus ones from some other means.

This proposed change will have an effect on everyone. Even the casual gamers and others. If this change goes live it will anger and cause to leave a large chunk of the core players of this already low population game. Maybe they will re-think it like they did with the losing ED xp thing.

I am very concerned.

There are some players that won't mind because they play DDO like it is a console game, soloing away in the dark caverns with a brain dead pacifist owl bear, a cleric hire whose head clearly isn't in the game and the lonely sound of water dripping from the stalactites to keep them company. Twitchy index finger hovering over the mouse...ready to click on the DDO Store icon for a cake or mana pot.

Sometimes I wonder if this is what the devs envision the average player as being.

I prefer having people to group with or I might as well fire up the PS3.

Yet, this company is the same one that brought us dreadloot of ghostbane, astral shard 'skip a quest' and the reroll loot button so who knows what they are thinking at this point.

i hoped so, you guys learned your lesson from the Epic TR Debacle. And now this. I had plans to Triple-Completionst-TR my Main (saved 600 Tokens in years). As it looks now, i will make some pix of my toons after U20 and then delete them.
If it is on Lama, then there is usually no way back. This will be MY gamebreaker. And from what I've heard so far on the Server, I won't be the only one.

Count me as another who is (potentially) very unhappy with this change. Unless sagas provide upwards of 250 CoV on EN (or ~23 fragments of the twelve a quest given the current exchange rate), assuming the decision is to stick with this change, I'll likely abandon TRing entirely. And considering how much of my playing is based around TRing, that doesn't bode well for my continuation.

I love this game, and I love the recent changes that have reduced the grind. Please don't simply move the grind up, especially for those of us who aren't fans of epics anyway.

Either the Saga rewards would need to be raised massively or the cost dropped massively...either way I would still be annoyed that my collection of tokens that I use only for TRing would be a total waste. DAYS spent farming over the course of multiple characters and lives getting enough tokens to TR when I want...would be horribly wasted if this change made it to live.

Are you seriously suggesting that because some few people might have gotten away with duping those tokens and therefore could have a bunch of TR hearts that every single person in the game should have a key game mechanic eliminated? That everyone that plays DDO has to suffer, just so we can make sure those few people are punished for their obviously horrific crimes? That is utterly ridiculous.
