Basically: 12 Cleric for Heal and BB, Full War Priest line for dps+bonuses to longbows et al. 6 Artificer for repeater feats + weapon buffs, rogue skills. 2 Ranger for Bow Strength + other feats.

Play: This toon has full fighter BAB, minor mass heals coupled with solid focused heals, essential cleric buffs, bow damage is amped by CHA bonus + War Priest line, xbow damage is amped by Insightful Damage, both to-hit amped by WIS. Use repeating xbow for fast ROF with longbow for high burst DPS with Manyshot, fill in time between Manyshots with Endless Fusilade as needed. With full DPS metamagic featline (empower/maximize/quicken), could toss in some direct damage spells to complement the *bow damage/Divine Punishment/Blade Barrier/Comet Fall or act as a supplemental healer in raids while still doling out a solid stream of DPS. Ideally you'd play the toon just at the edge of Point Blank range, avoiding damage as much as is reasonable.

Definitely gear dependent, though not necessarily to specific gear but more like "you best have your stat gear covered". You'll want the highest in INT and STR gear bonuses on top of CHA and WIS, other than that you're basically going to gear yourself as any Artificer would. Properly geared it should be possible to get Comet Fall DCs, for example, high enough to drop everything in EH and reasonable enough to help in EE (you'll still be working harder in EE but that's how it goes). Your overall utilization will really depend on your EDs and twists. I haven't really thought too much on those so any advice there would be nice.

So what do you guys think? I also think the build would kindof work with FVS instead of CLR but you lose 2 spell slots in 6th, which is pretty damaging to overall effectiveness (making a choice between BB, Comet Fall, and Heal is a pretty terrible choice). In general I see it as an all-around effective toon as opposed to "the best at X". He'll take longer to drop things than a Monkcher, but can heal a whole party in a pinch. He'll not be able to sustain heals like a dedicated healer, but he should be out DPSing pretty much every dedicated healer out there while maintaining a healthy party. Solo should be pretty effective in general.

I think you might be spreading yourself very thin and won't be as effect as you think at the higher levels. You will probably level fine, but you are going to hit a plateau.

Trying to work in both repeaters and bows while mixing builds that will basically want to max out 5 stats, I don't think is a good idea.

I think with the cleric and wis you would be better going with just bows. Focus on Wis. Go 6 ranger. And maybe 2 monk for evasion and bonus feats. Pick up zen archery to use your wisdom with bows and thus dump your dex, while keeping it as necessary for any feat requirements.

Or go 14 Cleric to pick up 7th level spells with some good mass buffs. Just some intial thoughts.

I am seriously thinking about not quite this build, but something similiar. 12 cleric 6 ranger 2 monk. The concept for that build would be melee with scimitars and range with a longbow when manyshot is available. It would heal a party through a combination of ameliorating strike and radiant servant bursts and cocoon with the occasional heal spell. I would be playing that build to level 28 so that is different then just your tr build. In fury of the wild I do not see a huge dps loss compared to a similiar build like a 12 fighter 6 ranger 2 monk or etc. and it should be able to do all healing (the postive spell power I project would be really high) in all current content except for when the new raid comes out.

I can not tell you how many EEs I did on my 12 barbarin 4 fvs 4 rogue where there was no healer. DDO has become a game where being a pure cleric healbot type character makes less and less sense.

I did this build which is a 12/6/2 but monk not ranger .... it works well for all the non epic stuff ... really not enough dps for epic hard and above though.

Single target healing though was awesome (now same due to the scroll line also being availble)
The infusions are fun with the Cleric Healing spell power increase (think mass cures for 1/3 the price - though a bit slow but with a 1.5x increase in target range)

The other issue is non arti spell casting with when shooting a xbow its a bit on the slow/wait side it does not work the same as with the arti spells. There is an odd delay.

I loved playing the build, but with the new enhancements it also lost quite a bit of power, would need 16 more points just to get it back to what it was before the change.
