I've been looking at GreenSteel options, and it's difficult to decide.

If we want to go with a second item for the HP buff from two opposition items, what gear slot do you put the second item in? Obviously bracers is the first, but what item are you willing to give up to slot in more GS?

I currently have 3x positive opp for the regeneration and unconscious range. If I make a second opp item, I'd go 3x neg for the immunities. But where?

You are dealing with the same decisions I'm mulling over. I am not stressing though, because the only thing that I can't do that I'd like to do is stay with sorjek in LE TS but +10%hp isn't going to get me anywhere near where I'd need to be lol, so I think I have to let go of that dream for now. I think I'm just going to sit tight til Cannith crafting is released and see what I can do with all of that.

In the mean time, the Torc is the most expendable piece on the list. I've been swapping it out for Lion's Mane when tanking high end raid bosses.

The cloak is also expendable. Other choices are boots, belt (could replace with EE ring of shadows for 25% displacement, but then you'd lose potency from the sage's ring). Sightless is becoming expendable since 12 con and 35 PRR isn't best in show any more, but finding another place for those right now is tricky. Gearing decisions are such a pain. I'd love to see what you come up with

My immediate plans are doing 3 deep gnome lives starting tomorrow, so I'm over a month away from dealing with gearing decisions again.

have you considered deep gnome with a+1 heart?

i havnt ran the numbers, but i cant shake the feeling that the loss to survivability is not worth it, the bonus to dc

I'm knocking out my 3 deep gnome past lives atm, but after that I'm going to try druid with deep gnome and going to try keeping the 1 wiz to experiment with and see how it goes. Deep gnome gets wisdom in the innate line, so that'll make up for the loss of capstone, but I'll lose 1 pt of wis and 1 pt of con from human innate. But there's lots of fun stuff in the deep gnome tree and +10% AC in Eldritch Knight. I don't expect to be there for a couple months tho.

Here's the trailer I made up for my deep gnome lives series

Are you planning on doing a full build thread on this one?

I really enjoy your video series and watch them while I'm at work. Really cool to see the build thread along with it.

Definitely not. I'm no one to take advice from on wizards. I will just be bumbling my way through it, lol. Don't take any wizard advice from me

Loving this compendium of guides and build information Gingerspyce.

Only problem I have is that you're on Sarlona while I'm on Khyber and thus am unable to run with you. Alas!

looking at getting a druid iconic life outta the way.

    deep gnome -

will be splashed - so at least one wizard is mandatory

since im splashing - looking at other class.

monk gives me evastion as does rogue. rogue also gives me trap skills! more wizard gives lil bit more sp and a lil bit of spell power

pally is out, but barb/bard dont seem to give me much

fvs/cleric are very interesting - temp sp and heavy armor respectivly

    what do you thing ginger?

Depends on what kind of druid you're going to make. If you're interested in my build then evasion isn't the route you want to go, as it is a heavy armor sword & board user. If you're going with a wolf melee build then evasion can be a good way to go.

I don't know from experience but from what I've seen here in the druid forum, generally speaking trapper/evasion rogue doesn't mesh well with druid caster, reportedly because reflex saves aren't good enough. Hopefully others here can speak more to this point.

Fighter also gives an extra feat, but that's covered with the cleric option.

I'm afraid I'm not much of a multiclasser, so that's about the best I can offer, but hopefully others can offer more advice.

I am personally going to try my build with Deep Gnome and keep the 1 wizard level, but I'm going to go 19 druid because I want the extra high level spell slots. I am also planning on doing a video series featuring this configuration of the build after my current life, but this is probably 2-3 weeks away.

If you're just going for the past lives then don't stress too much about it and go for what you think will be most fun

Will this be a soloing build? If so, trap skills become more valuable for +30% XP. But if it's more of a PUGing / guild-running build, then odds are there will usually be someone else to fill the trapper role and it becomes less important.
fvs/cleric are very interesting - temp sp and heavy armor respectivly
You need at least 2 FvS lvls for temp SPs, so that's druid 17 / FvS 2 / wiz 1, meaning you give up lvl 18 SH core. Not a deal-breaker, but I like having Storm of Vengeance SLA. You could also do druid 18 / wiz 1 / sorc 1 and take the Spellpower & crit bonuses from two Savants if you wanted to specialize in two elements (air + fire or water, probably).

Another option would be ftr splash for extra feat (one of the Shield Masteries) & hvy armor prof; or barb splash for +10% run speed for the zerger in you.

This build is focused on spellcasting without the "tank-y" elements of Ginger's OP build. Taking Insightful Reflexes lets you dump DEX gear to focus on INT instead, which also boosts Spellcraft & trap skills. +3 Reflex from Bestial Nature and +6 Reflex from Unearthly Reactions should help too. I listed a +2 Supreme tome, but really the only tome which matters is INT, since that affects how many skill pts you get at higher lvls. If you have Harper and plan to take Dire Charge, then consider shifting some APs around to take Know the Angles for the DC bonus.

If you have Harper and plan to take Dire Charge, then consider shifting some APs around to take Know the Angles for the DC bonus.
    o this looks like fun!

how would it work in exalted angel as opposed to sharadi?

i hadnt considered dire charge. that will make it in no matter what now. also, this guy is a legend/has +5 or better tomes if that helps.

...fine, I guess? You lose the +5 CLs from Shiradi (which only matters for spells with MCL > 18 like Gtr Creeping Cold and Sunbeam) and Rainbow etc. procs; but it probably works better if you'd prefer to spec for Light dmg rather than Fire: Sunburst SLA, Sunbeam, Avenging Light, Sunbolt (EA SLA), and/or Divine Wrath become part of your main spell rotation. Fortunately, Empyrean Magic complements light as well as fire.

First of all, I really enjoy this thread, and the build

Second; this might be a stupid and n00bish question, but where does the insightful wis +2 on your cloak come from?
Cant seem to find on pages like http://ddowiki.com/page/Insight_bonus
