Suggestion for New Item: Spell Component Bags

We have bags for gems, collectibles, ingredients, and augments as well as hireling folders but nothing in which to store large amounts of spell components in one inventory slot. If the devs are willing to take this suggestion, I think spell component bags of various sizes would be a good addition to the DDO Store.

I see this is now the fourth thread you've created on this subject. Whilst the idea is a good one, and something I would like to see also, please be aware that cross-posting is frowned upon:

Very good idea with the spell components bags.

Still many sorcs will keep the components in normal inventory to hotbar them to keep the numbers so I'd go further:

1. Bring spell components bags.
2. Bring ability to hotbar stuff from bags (not to use'em but just keep the numbers).

Oh and omnispell & special components should also fit there

The one and only time we heard from the Devs about component bags was a single post... years and years ago. They reported that the game engine itself could not see the components in the bags, and the spell would fail because of it. It would require major rewrites of the spell, game, and bag mechanics to get them to work. The Dev (whose name I forget now, it's been that long) said they'd report more if they could make it work. We've never heard about it in an official capacity since.

the idea won't disappear because, its not a new idea at all we have been asking for component bags, potion belts, and scroll satchels since the dawn of time.

multiple posting like this is rampant in the forums.

I see the same people posting on the same topics over and over when one thread dies they just make another.
