Question about Alchemical weapons

I would like to make an alchemical weapon with the crystal property so I can use it on Quori monsters. Is there any reason why a bludgeoning weapon would not be just as suitable as a slashing one? I got an alchemical maul from the Master Artificer raid, and I am considering using it.

Nope, no reason! Crystallize away! BTW, adding good would probably be your best bet for the upgrades since the quori boss at the end of Dreaming Dark needs Crystal and Good. Although your absolute best bet would be to upgrade a Dreamspitter (I believe that they are crystal).

Ed: confirmed that Dreamspitter breaks crystal DR.
