Unhappy I lose connection to the chat server for 30 seconds about every 20 minutes. Confused.

    Hi there.
Since the update I have had issues with losing connection for 30 seconds and it happens about every 30 minutes. Its never happened in the 2.5 years ive been playing.
I usually run a latency time of 300ms, which i can live with but this has made it terrible.
It seems completely random too. It has happening in quests as well as in public areas.
Nothing changed at my end and I am really confused as to what I can do.

Any suggestions? or anyone else having this problem since update 19.2?

I am running Windows 7 64bit. 8gig of RAM, pretty clean system which has never given me any trouble.

    Thanks.

That was happening to me quite a bit when I had a flaky internet connection. One day it'd be fine with no issues, then the next it'd be working but losing connection to chat server, then the next I couldn't connect at all. Plus with Turbine having "issues" with internet related routing over the past few months, who knows what the problem is exactly...

If you are reinstalling Windows I doubt this would help but maybe you could reset your firewall settings:

    Turbine firewall suggestions:

If you are operating behind a hardware firewall in your modem\router, you could try turning off your software based firewalls you may have to see if it improves? I've often found running multiple firewalls causes issues. My father had setup of modem then router, then McAfee firewall. Internet connection was total garbage. Removed mcafee and disabled windows firewall and it improved slightly. Removed the router and used the modem from the provider that had a router in it already and the connection stabilized considerably. There were still issues, but it was a noticeable improvement.
