Default Make the "Heart of Wind" instance a tavern

Please change the LR airship instance to be recognized as a tavern. Many character changes you can buy from the store require you to be in a tavern instance. I realize this would limit the capitalization of mistakes made due to forgetting to change alignments etc before LR'ing. I constantly see and hear about people, veterans and newer players mentioning this.

It would alleviate a extremely frustrating aspect of LR'ing. Sure with perfect planning it can be avoided but if you want to encourage newer players and avoid them becoming frustrated with the complexity of character building this needs to be addressed.

Or remove the tavern requirement from alignment/whatever else needs to be in a tavern.

    Thanks.

It used to work like this where you didn't need a tavern etc, then people used the lr process to create barbarian monks. This was Turbine's fix.

I think "fix" is the wrong word. I think "bloody used bandage" would be a better phrase. People were exploiting a flaw with the alignment change items, so turbine makes changes to something that is not the flawed alignment change items. Seriously turbine, why didn't you just make the alignment changes work correctly and not allow them to change alignments that are required/denied? Instead you made a "reduced quality of life" change, way to go turbine.

Sad but not surprising that they took a short cut.

Be fair, fixes take time. Shortcuts allow them to achieve a desired result (albeit with a tradeoff) and then move on to other concerns.

They're field medics, not plastic surgeons. They'll patch you up so you don't die, but you might get a few scars. The only way they'll ever be able to do a "pretty fix" is if they completely freeze development - and even if the playerbase was OK with that, the execs would never be
