Default What Tower ring to holy burst?

Hey all, just hit completionist a week or so ago and tempted to end up as monk instead of rogue like I originally planned (might as well use that lr 20) (quivering looks too good!)

I currently have enough Trophy's and a few rings but wondering which it's worth putting holy burst on? have Kyosho's but 2 slots for +6 wisdom and constitution (both of which I'd really want more of) and +2 damage doesn't seem that good these days!
    Any recommendations?

Then just use the ring and not the necklace, one slot saved.

Why do you want it at all? IMO you're giving up too much not using either one of the new named epic rings, or one of the lootgen 10/10s (deadly/dodge/strength/wis etc)

Holy Burst is nice for overcoming DR.

With new Epic gear, it's less important to worry about the ToD sets but to enjoy the damage reduction of a Holy Burst ring, as the last poster noted. If you can get matching gear for additional effects, great. But likely and soon, you'll be swapping out the companion necklace or belt for something more Epic.

For those not in the know, these burst effects on ToD rings work only on unarmed attacks, thus their importance to Monks.

It doesn't even matter if you haven't a Monk ring. Any of the rings will do.

An epic ring for second ring, sure, but the lootgen stats can go in many other slots. There's no other way to get that +2d6 Holy damage, and Good DR breaking with end-game wraps without a ToD ring is difficult, especially since some of the best ones (Grave Wraps, Ivy Wraps) don't even have red slots.

Why would you be using Grave Wraps or Ivy's on bosses that need good damage anyway? You could always get some Adamantine knuckles. Obviously end-game you're going to be using antipode, but they break any DR anyway.

Thanks for the info guys, I wasn't aware the holy burst had lost so much value, but seems its still worth slotting for some fights, or until I grab a +10 shatter ring
