    Default Maximum SA dice???

I searched the forums but couldn't find this posted elsewhere. Maybe my search-fu sucks.

Does a 20/8 halfling assassin rogue/epic shadowdancer have the highest Sneak Attack dice, or is there a higher combination possible?

SA dice are directly linked to Rogue levels (afaik) so a pure Assassin Rogue would/should have the most amount of SA dice possible.

You pretty much have it. 20 Rogue, Max assasin, Deadly Shadows capstone, Halfling, Shadowdancer, Improved Sneak Attack.

10d6 Rogue, 4d6 Assassin, 4d6 Deadly Shadows, 3d6 Halfling, 6d6 Shadowdancer, 3d6 Improved. Also, on a failed Assassinate you get another 10d6, though I've never bothered to figure out if that stacks or replaces the normal sneak.

So all that equals out to....30d6 sneak damage a hit, with a possible 40d6 depending on how that stacks on a single hit. Obvious things like Backstabbing, Exc Sneak, Rogue past lives, and Sneak of shadows add static amounts to this. Equals out to at best 8+5+3+14(?) for another static 30 damage.

Averaging 135 damage a swing, for just sneak.

Thanks for the numbers. I tried to think of a combination that could beat it, but the best I could do is 29d6 for 14/3/3 Rogue/Ranger/Monk:

7d6 Rogue levels, 3d6 Halfling, 6d6 Shadowdancer, 4d6 Assassin, 3d6 Improved Sneak attack, 3d6 Ninja Spy Sneak Attack Training, 2d6 Deepwood Stalker Innate, 1d6 Deepwood Stalker Stealthy Rank 3.
