Default The One Undead Slayer! Dedicated Mabar Event Farmer

    Hello all my fellow builders!

I am but just a mere casual gamer and have more character slots then I do have time to play them all. I do love creating new

builds, playing new classes that aren't my mains and playing the events when they come around. I find the events to be a

nice break in the gear and leveling grind. So I have decided to use some of my extra character slots for event specific farmers.

With Mabar just around the corner, I thought that this would be a good start.

Guidelines for build are pretty open, have some preconceived notions about Mabar from past experience with the event.

Whether they are right or wrong you tell me, I am open to any criticism, comments or conformations.

    1. Level 16 seems to be the perfect level to sit at for spawning and being able to get rewards from the largest group of mobs.

will never gain xp, level, TR or do anything outside of FARM MABAR! That is it's sole purpose in life.

    2. The drop mechanic seems to reward those that had the last hit and/or did the highest percentage of damage

    3. Have to bring something to the group! Larger groups means + larger mob spawns = more drops

    4. Have premium account, all races, iconics, classes (minus Druid), 32 point builds, and vet II status

5.Build needs to stand alone, what I mean by this is : no tomes, no uber gear, no past lives

I will be passing some acquired gear to the toon to use for it's purposes but nothing that can't be passed back. I won't be

farming for the farmer either. Well, he or she may be buying some stuff from the event, got to give a dog a bone once and

    awhile, right?

So while I am messing around with the planner and eyeing over all the enhancements on a couple of ideas rolling around in my

head, I'll pose this question to all you builders!

"What is the best undead slayer to farmer the Mabar Endless Night Event!"

take the new cleric iconic, splash 2 pally levels, max cha, get just enough wis to cast spells.
take all the undead turning enhancements from both cleric and pally, and from racial. pick up extra turns and improved turning feats, eternal faith item, and you'll be turning like a pro.

against the undead dragon you can use divine punishment.

if you want are more sustainable dps type, splash a couple of monk levels as well and pick up the twf feat line and the improved monk stances. slap on the mabar wraps, and you're good to go. your turns won't be as powerful, but you'll be able to keep running around mabar for hours without needing to visit the tavern.

An Angel of Vengeance, all out light-focused evocation FvS could be fun. Big SP-pool, high Spell Power/crit, maybe carry a big stick to whack stuff with in a pinch. Could be built on a Morning lord as 14/1 Fvs/Cle...

Took your idea and tried it out during the Mabar preview. Cleric13/Pally2. Max CHA, 10 STR (really just so that i could swing something when bored, not needed tho), 12 WIS (the iconic starter items set gives you +6 WIS and I added 1 level up point to get lvl 9 spells). Both the Improved Turning, and Extra(?) Turning feats. All the turning enhancements as well from racial/cleric/pally(HoTD). Basically ended up with 22 turns and each one was like a mini-nuke (after casting the spell that improves turns on myself). Would absolutely wreck undead in the 12-17 instance, wiping out entire groups of them as soon as they spawn (think +7 at a time). I'm thinking that I could probably fare pretty well in the higher level instance but the preview ended before I could try it out. Thanks for the idea!
