A Gathering of Guides, A Travelogue of Tools

This by no means aims to be a complete listing of all of the hundreds (thousands?) of great guides and tools created for Dungeons & Dragons Online over the years. What it does aim to be, though, is a relatively up-to-date stickied thread which gives creators a place to get their guides featured, and serve as a go-to location for folks looking for things.

Great list Cordovan - hope it keeps getting added to and maintained.

Back in the halcyon days of the old forum there used to be a couple of entries that I found incredibly helpful. The titles were:

- "The Lost Quest Guide" (original post id http://www.ddo.com/en/en/forums/forum.php?t=122192)

This had links to other posts with walkthroughs of quests broken down by level. The wakthroughs were quite thorough and many included diagrams of puzzles, suggested buffs, types of monsters etc.

- "Static Rewards and Unique Loot New" (original post id http://www.ddo.com/en/en/forums/forum.php?t=121279)

As suggested by the title this was a list of the static loot and the quest/chest in which it could be found so that if you were hunting for something or wanted to see what else a quest may provide it was all in one place.

Unfortunately when the new forums were implemented these posts and all of their linked sub-posts were broken and lost. While some of the information they gave can be found on DDO Wiki or in the other links you have provided, none are as complete (well, up to about U16 anyway) or as easy to follow as the originals.

If there is some way you could resurrect these posts and get them back in circulation as part of your guide list it would be absolutely brilliant.

Because let's face it: using a solver can take forever, and while you're trying to get it set up people are asking if you need help and somebody's likely jumping on it trying to solve it randomly and screwing up your solver.

Thanks for the info. Works well for the Loot but unfortunately for the Quest Guide it just gets you to the first index and after that its broken again - needs to have the whole set of nested indexes fixed plus the list of quests updated (its a bit older than I thought).

My understanding is that Dragon.Star's Static Rewards and Unique Loot New thread has largely been deprecated in favor of JJFlanigan's online tool, which I did include in the guide.

On the Lost Quest Guide, I agree that it was an incredible resource, but unfortunately, until someone either fixes all of those links or we correct our re-direct issue, I'm hesitant to add it to the guide.

Just for clarity, the loot thread was never mine, that has been the "baby" of many other forumites over the years. As for my online search tool, it seems to have fallen out of favor of late with none of the editors adding / updating items and no new players wanting to step forward to assist with keeping it up to date sadly.
