Today's lesson: Do not log out to go mow the lawn like a responsible adult. You will get soaked when Mother Nature decides ot unleash a downpour on you when you only have a few strips left to mow and you won't be able to log back into the game when you get inside to dry off.

I swear I am never going to log out on weekends again. When I'm not playing I'll make my kid go move my character a few steps every hour. If I get disconnected, she gets grounded.

So then is it safe to say this is a problem with the USA? And that Turbine/WB's greediness and half-butted way of doing things is actually a reflection of a larger problem?

Gee, Neverwinter has no trouble connecting and is merrily installing as I type. I wonder what it'll be like to play something that isn't D&D ...

Not sure what Neverwinter is, but it's as far from anything D&D as you could get. Not sure what my old pen and paper DM would have said if I had told him my fighter was going to spin around 4000 times whirling my two handed sword like a blender and sliding around like a top to clear out that room full of goblins, but I am pretty sure it would have entailed me ending up as both the goblins dinner and the tribes ongoing joke for the rest of eternity.

Same. Got to play for a couple of hours and then logged out for dinner. I never should have logged out, I can't even get the log in screen to come up. One of my guildies is having the exact same issue and she lives in PST. I'm Central.
The last time this happened it didn't get fixed until the regular business week started. That sucks because tomorrow is a holiday.
