Default New Deathblock and Negative healing amplification

So PMs will have new items with negative healing amplification (prefix: deathblock I to VI - maybe more?).

Deathblock VI gives +18% negative healing amplification.

All this sounds pretty cool but I have seen only 1 named ring with it on (glorious dawn), other random loots are armors or shield so I'm wondering if I can slot the lvl 12 topaz of deathblock to have this effect, have you tried it out maybe?

Deathblock gem is just the old deathblock.

Also, what you are seeing is *not* negative healing amplification. It is negative energy absorption. The exact opposite of healing amp, it reduces negative energy damage (healing as well? need confirmation. probably not though) by xx%.

I had a guildy PM ask me to NOT cast deathward on him in a quest because it reduced his self-healing. Since it's similar maybe deathblock also reduces healing? Not sure didn't think to ask him about it.

new U19 items here: http://ddowiki.com/page/Update_19_named_items if you search for glorious dawn (ring):

Glorious Dawn - Ring: Deathblock VI (passive 18 enhancement bonus to negative energy), Solar Guard VIII, Green Augment Slot

looks like it is "negative healing amplification" or it is jusy +18 negative spellpower? in the 2nd case may not worth it.

@Raphael: dw now bugs undead form healing. so you have to go out form and go back in to heal yourself again.

EDIT: do you know where this ring drops? on wiki still unknown location. so i can find and test it out.

Deathblock is negative energy absorption, not amplification.

Actually, it is much worse than that. At the present time, there is a bug that if you are hit with Death Ward while in undead form, all of your negative energy healing is canceled. Your death aura/lesser DA and negative energy burst are all completely blocked by it, negating a PM's healing. To my knowledge, the only way to fix this issue is to toggle off your form (which I believe vampires can't do at the present time, unless it was fixed) and turn it back on, blowing 25-100 SP, depending on shroud.

So yea, if you're a PM, that definitely causes issues.

Edit- ah, sorry...didn't see your post korsat.

It is not just Deathward, items that protect against negative energy like the Jewel cloak will block the healing until the charges are gone.
