    Default Guest Passes Currently Unavailable

UPDATE 8/29/13: Guest Pass issues have been corrected in Update 19 Patch 1, and guest passes have returned to the DDO Store. Thanks!

Guest passes are currently not functioning correctly, and have been temporarily removed from the DDO Store. Players who have guest passes in their inventory should not use them until further notice.

Guessing that was the string table error thingy I had in the bank that disappeared when I tried to move it for examination. So that should read: "Players who have guest passes in their inventory [which don't look like guest passes] should not use them [or even try to move or click on them] until further notice."

I see. Well, what about the people that had a pass buff active before the update? Now the pass buff is gone. The pass was given to me before the update, I didn't enter the module and was saving it till after the update, tried to go into the module today but I noticed there wasn't a pass on my buffs; the icon is gone from the buffs bar.

Interesting however, on LFM, all quests in that pass (which is the High Roads) are shown as I have the pack purchased (if you don't have a pack on LFM it displays the "Buy Now" button; that isn't there). Yet, on map the entire quest chain is marked as red (I don't have the pack purchased).

Hope that helps in anyway though.

Actually I think that might just be the high roads. It always looked like I had it on the lfm panel to me before I bought it, and afaik it's the only pack that worked like that.

So that's what it was! I had one in the shared bank on Khyber I guess and tried to move it to inventory (by double-clicking) and it gave that string table error and vanished.

I think the string table error item was some type of potion (mana or xp), as I have a stack of 8 of them in my shared bank. Unless there are more than one broken item type.

No, they won't let you re-enter areas you are allowed into by them...

The question is : Do we get a refund for the fubared guest passes we used on friend ?
I know in my case it's only 70 TP, but still, my friend that got hit by the bug was angry enough that he called it a night long before the usual time for that, and since his account is also fubared and Turbine Customer (un)Support hasn't answered his mails for more than a month on the subject it's starting to really **** him.

    Any chance of a refund?

It would be nice to know what to expect if you've already activated the pass on a friend, and they've started the timer already.

Just wanted to update the Service News thread to state that we have put Guest Passes back into the DDO Store. All guest passes you currently have in your inventory should work as designed, as well. Thanks!

Since my other thread had no replies; maybe we can get a reply.

Thank you for the fix. So far that is for people that didn't use the pass, however, what about the people that used the pass. For example someone that had still 2 hours on their pass but the bug occurred? Or in my case, I had my friend buff me with the pass and I didn't enter the module. Had the pass active for 4 days and was planning to visit the module after the update but the bug occurred and I lost the buff.
Am I going to get that pass buff again? Or is it gone down the drain?

    Thank you.

Guest pass still doesn't work. I have 2 hours remaining and it doesn't allow me to go inside. My friend who gave me the guest pass already created a ticket in-game, and the response was, they can't help me in any way they can.

I can't call the United States phone numbers, since I am from outside the US, and it will be very expensive for me.
