Well, it's bed time down here, so please, do me a favour. Extend the down time by 15 hours. I'll be getting home around then, and, well.
Imagine the amount of bugs that can be fixed!
Two other reasons:
1) MDINR (Mountain Dew Induced Nerd Rage). Always fun to watch.
2) The last two updates have been in the middle of my playing time. While I get that screwin' with the Aussies (us bein' a minority and such) is fun, be nice, make everyone else suffer!

Before the update I never had lag or DC problems now me and everyone I know has SUPER bad lag and get a DC daily, more than once I see guildies DC 4 or more times. After this hotfix my launcher no longer works I can't log in.

Astonishing that Confirmation of Astral Shard use for Chest Re-Roll is NOT in this Patch!

Especially as it's been stated as NOT WAI!

The easiest way to avoid this issue (until they fix it, at least) is to simply use the "Loot All" hotkey (which is B by default). That way, you don't risk clicking on the "Reroll Loot" button instead of the "Loot All" button.

On a semi-related note, I find it amusing that they had the servers up relatively on time when they released the expansion, but a hotfix is pushing them over by an hour.

Hi all - my first post ever although I been playing DDO since Yr 2011....

Since the service time is delayed another 1 hour I been surfing the forums trying to understand the enhancement system, etc.

BUT THIS POST which I quote really got me.

With the new update --- I now get really bad LAG. Bad in that I get lag even walking around in the city areas in Harbour etc... which I find incredible. Initially I though I was just having a bad network for a day or so but now I see alot of this as well.

I am a huge fan of original table top AD&D... and DDO. I have a high speed 100Mb line and a dedicated gaming machine. I don't even dare install other junk spftware on it in case it causes lag --- that I install on another work / leisure laptop I have at home. It's a high end machine with a 2Gb dedicated graphics card........ I though this was enough when one looks at the low end spec required to play DDO..... YET... I ... LAG now.

So can I ask a noob question... where does this LAG actually come from? It's ruining the game play experience. And to be frank I never really got any meaningful significant lag until this latest release.

I appreciate the update to the forum. Even better would be putting a message on the client new screen where ppl are getting the Failed to read authentication error.

I know it's kinda annoying to not have a confirm button on re-roll but how can a person click re-roll instead of loot all? I'm leveling and looting all chests I see for 2 days and I haven't clicked re-roll.

Maybe Parkinson's disease?

If i had to guess, it's increased server load from everyone logging on to redo all their characters.

Because the shard reroll just happens to be where the old Loot All button was. I believe and they are creatures of habit.

Don't you think that 50/50 is a horrible service record for something you pay for? In my case it's even worse and I honestly don't want to deal with GM-s again.

I don't have a lot of time to play and wasting 1 hour of that to wait for a GM is a bit too much. I am sure you can agree with this.

This isn't a defense of Turbine, but, besides maybe an epic elite raid that is half completed, why would you wait for an hour for anything from a GM? If its a quest bug, restart the quest. It shouldn't happen, but it does, so why waste your time if it does happen. If it's a non quest bug, there's most likely nothing in game can do for you, bug report on the website.

I have been playing this game since just after launch and I have had to talk to a GM aprox. 10 times.

The lag is from horrible memory leaks.

DDO doesn't seem to unload any areas after you leave them. Play for a few hours and the game is using >3gb ram. Even at first load it is usually using over 1gb with semi-high graphics settings... but it never unloads anything, so moving between areas in the game lags it more and more each time you enter any new area.

Don't expect a fix any time soon though, theres nothing in it to sell (Asteral Unload Shards??? Menace of the Lag expansion???).

Awesomiumprocess.exe is probably not your friend... But that might not be the only reason.
