Default Quest Known Issue: Army of Shadow

The Shadowfell Conspiracy quest Army of Shadow can fail to complete if players do not kill the Nightcrawler quickly enough. Players should consider running this quest on Casual for now to mitigate this issue while we investigate a fix.

If we run this on casual won't this break our bravery streaks?

I ran this quest earlier tonight on EH and ran into this problem. Now I was solo so I expect it to be a little bit rough in spots especially for a first playthrough, but are the worm's hp supposed to be so high? It's not quite ridiculous, but it seems high compared to other bosses in that level range. How long should the fight take in order to avoid the bug? I don't really want to break my streak on this by running it on casual if I can help it.

We are working on a fix for this, stay tuned for more information.

I suspect that most people who are working on lengthy Bravery Bonus streaks probably dish out enough DPS that this won't be an issue, but if you are in the lower DPS department (either due to having a lower DPS party, or because your DPS is impacted by you running solo) then running the quest on a lower difficulty is a temporary workaround until we get this fixed.

    https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthrea...ussion-Thread!

I bug reported this on Lammania over a month ago (yes with the bug reporting tool not just posting on the forums) and multiple posted in the thread on it saying they had it happen to them as well and I submitted the feedback survey with the details.

    How did this slip through?

How could the community have done more to stop this bug from making it to live?
(Serious question - this is exactly the sort of thing that makes people not bother submitting feedback or submitting bug reports)

Just tried on Live on a level 18/5/2 Barb/Epic/Fighter with nearly-completed ED's. With one person (just me, no hirelings), it took me 32 seconds to kill the worm. I still got bugged.

If you don't have the bug fixed, at least have some way to get in touch with in-game support to unbug the quest. I wouldn't mind the bug if I had a way to get in touch with someone in-game.

BYOH. Know it, abide by it, or don't mess with those who do.
