PL Feat and +20 Heart?

If I use the +20 Heart of Wood to change from pure Sorc to pure Cleric, I will NOT get a Sorc PL feat? I take it the only way to get the PL feat is to TR? This appears to be how it works on Lammania, but not sure if I might have done something wrong while experimenting.

Then when you TR the pure Cleric, you get the Cleric PL.
