couldnt i just lvl the character in this order to try it out cause if need be i guess i could just TR again and get PL rogue... again... -.- ... the lvl order would go 6 ranger right off the start --> then to 2 pally to folow it up now if it will let me i'll take 6 monk lvls foloing that... if it lets me do that then just take the 6 more range lvls... if it doesnt work that way i would just lvl the final 12 lvls back to rogue and play a rogue AA for a while then TR into my ranger pally monk...

The problem with that I think is that the game would view it as:
1 Ranger
...
6 Ranger
7 Pally
8 Pally
9 -MONK MERG ERROR 4 Classes freakout.
because it thinks the rest of your character is:
10 Rogue
...
20 Rogue

So you couldn't take that first Monk level. But, as Unacceptable posted, if you're happy to use a +3 Lesser Heart instead of a +1, you could do this with your LR +20:
1 Ranger
...
8 Ranger
9 Monk
...
15 Monk
16 Ranger
...
20 Ranger

Then use the LR +3 Heart to change the 8 Ranger / 12 Monk build, and swap your level 7 Ranger class to Paladin and your level 8 Ranger class to Paladin.
So you end up with the split and levels you want.

I have a 12 fighter/6ranger/2rogue than I want to switch to a 14 fighter/4 pally/2monk. My understanding of this lr +20 token is it won't actually help me. It won't let me switch in pally or monk class as the game would be thinking I'm trying to fit in 5 classes. When I try and switch my first ranger level to pally it will not let me. So this free fix doesn't really help.

It depends on what levels each is at.

If your first 6 levels are ranger/rogue levels you can switch those to fighter levels and then switch the fighter levels to monk/pal levels. Everyone should test it out on Lam to see if it works before the release if they are trying to do something this extensive.

Sorry, Cordovan, I've said it before but the whole LR process is completely overcomplicated which just leads to all these problems in the first place. I've challenged you before (and all forumites for that matter) to explain to me why a process that allows a complete redo to the current level and includes everything you might want to change (including race, alignment, all class levels) would be so game-breaking, and I simply haven't heard any reasonable answers.

Well, for one thing the LR process remember your previous class as there is for example a dialogue option that tell you which class you have been before. It is further not only a dialogue option but it serves the purpose of retaking the same class as before without wading through the other options. This is especially nice if you really want to fix a feat or like in GR want to go from 28pt to 32pt (which is by the way for what it was initially designed, not to help players to level an easy class and then swap them out at 20 to get a free PL)

Additionally I believe the dialogues are integrated into the workflow and not just placed independently on top of this. In other words would need some refactoring which lead to potential bugs. Bugs on the LR process are however scary and a critical part which is why they probably don't want to do it in a rush.

Further they thought it probably simple, on the code level. So instead having an additional variable that recognize the previous setup, they keep the complete old character level structure, and the LR process just swap out the current level one by one, like a pointer that is shifted for each processed level.

No. This is not a stone of experience. If you use it at lvl 14, you stay at lvl 14 but get to change your feats and classes up to that point.

This game has had some serious reincarnation issues in the recent past. If I were the devs I would try not to mess with it.

We really don't want to break reincarnation and have to be careful (aka: takes a lot of time and testing) when touching it.

Does hearts have an expiration date? (And if yes, will they expire before or after Warpriest is added?)
Can I save a heart, TR to fun class, use it at cap to +20LR into a paladin and then TR for a pastlife?

There isn't any planned expiration for the LR+20 Hearts that I know of.

Skills and feats wouldn't need a +20 token, people who want to changes classes need a +20 token. If the changes were just for feats and skills it would just be a free + 0 lesser.

The LR+20 helps people change the exact amount of lvls in classes they have. Up to now 2/6/12/18 have been the best lvls to splash/change before, but with the new enhancements (and how Toughness got treated) means that in some cases other lvl splits would be better to get most out of the build.
Multiples of 5 give you more HP for example. To give players more or less free room to optimize their builds Turbine gave us a very nice option of shoving around ALL our lvls.

My wife will be pleased to receive this +20 heart. She was given a barbarian rogue build that hasn't worked out as the claimant loudly protested it should. My wife will be removing every single rogue level off her dwarf and making it into pure barbar gax (greataxe)nutter. And knowing how I treat my wife...I will be hunting like mad to give her unchained soldier gax or a blank greensteel for her to fire up a Lit2

I myself might consider using the stone to turn my blackbone skellie stunning paladin into a tripped out fvs dps :P

I hope that if you ever DO decide to rework re-incarnation you implement a sort of "sandbox" mode for the process, resembling Ron's Character Planner. No changes are finalised (no finalisation even possible), until the build is "valid", with all prereqs in place, no multiclassing errors, alignment, etc... The sandbox would return an error msg if you have 4 classes only at the end, when you try to finalise. If the build is valid, the finalise button would then apply all the changes at once.

Yes that is possible.

With the +20 Heart you can change any class levels.

So now either I tr or I get a +5 heart of wood and a +3 heart of wood .... fantastic, what a great designed way to fk people
