    Default Loading Time Craftinghall

Why takes it loading the Kundarak Craftinghall as long as an entire persistent world elsewhere? Just curious, please enlighten me

I think it's because they're loading in all the recipes when you enter. Previously I believe the recipes would be loaded each time you opened a crafting machine, which took even more time and bandwidth.

    The delay is annoying.
I usually do a re-log after going to the crafting hall or my computer performance gets choppy.

So DDO Crafting is as CPU-intensive as an entire persistent World? Wow! Amazing! You really should advertise this, Turbine

it's not the initial loading time that I find frustrating but the fact that it now takes up to 10 seconds+ to deconstruct every item. it's bad enough to have to move 1 item at a time and click to deconstruct. but when their machine just hangs up for several seconds on every item to make its little whiz, bang, clunk noises, it's getting to be not worth the effort.

but I am too bull headed to give up now, sitting at around 110 in all three schools and want to get a bit higher to open up some of the flexible recipes.

it's been, what, two weeks since server maintenance? (login server maintenance doesn't count, it's not a world server.) and they've been running cove the whole time? can't imagine why it's taking so long... cove lags the game even when nobody's running it. some mantaining of servers would be nice.

The loading time for the crafting hall is indeed much larger than any other instance in the game. At least, it is for me!
I always assumed that it had to do with the number of crafting specific scripts that are loaded into memory when you enter them, but I am curious to hear other theories.

I try to make sure that I never log out in the crafting hall. On first startup it's even worse!

I've been using the DDO speed start loader, and that has cut down the load time for me, personally.

Far as i can tell, the long load time is only on the first time you enter the crafting hall. It's similar to the long load time when you first start the game after booting the computer.

I have to say, that I've *parked* a toon in the crafting hall, my crafter. Every time I log in to my crafter it takes ages (when I switch to an alt and back again even longer - and I use the preloader tool too), like the persistent world was growing, and as there'd be some real-time gamebreaking relevant changes being calculated during loading as well. A Paladin Mate once said the secret Paladin-Entrance to the Paladin-Temple with access to the whole world and portals to all dungeons on every possible difficulty was loaded too every single time, but I don't believe him
