Computer is the same as it was yesterday, not rebooted, nothing changed... so it's certainly not on my end.
    And now it works again.

Seems likely they are tinkering with stuff trying to fix this problem, so that should give those with ongoing woes some hope at least.

There were probably those same issues before but May 30 is when awesomium went live for DDO. Which, by the way, is the day that Turbine released the launcher that made it so NO ONE could play the game.

Turbine also mucked around with new forums for LoTRO last week.

Since, the Star Trek Online game has also been affected by network performance, I am assuming that the issue in this thread is about internet backbone problems.

I just want Turbine to realize that the log in issues have been around since at least May 30, 2013.
True for me and my sister, as well as some friends, been off mostly due to it, came back to see and it has gotten worse than before.
The changes to the login/web page utility using Awesomium, the thing is not plug and play, started some of the double logins, random disconnects or failure to connects (for some).
If the small to major programming code problems of the game past (read the continuing bug fix page) that are not fixed for one reason or the other can't be fixed, I seriously doubt that using Awesomium would go smoothly either. I am just hoping that it was not installed using the readme.txt .... add to fix page?

    Disconnect when loading character
Connect with character, enter Del Tombs, leave through gate... disconnect. One day later can reconnect with that toon.
Disconnect entering Airship, still not able to get that one back
Connect, slayer in Reaver's Refuge area... recall worked, but using the portal to return disconnected from that
Am only f2p, and doubt will be anything else unless someone gets serious about issues, be them small or big. Just the lack of concern or outright disregard for customers is appalling.

And stop using the phrase "For some of our players" you don't even know.

Actually this has been the case all along. I doubt it's their tinkering so much as it is just the randomness of the problem.

Default I have a clean machine

One that has not been used since last Thursday.

This machine does not have Lammania loaded on it.

Logging into a character that I play for Crystal Cove that disconnects a lot due to zoning issues.

The DNDclient.txt file on that machine had much more information than the DNDclient.txt file that this machine has. Probably because the hardware is different but I will look at that after I try to see if I can zone crash on that character like I did all weekend long.

I am trying to see if Lammania has any thing to do with this problem.

Oh fudge, going to time out on the entering Rook's Gambit in Smuggler's Rest. So, Lammania being on the machine is not the culprit.

"The connection to the server has been lost!"

That means it is all back to internet pipeline and hardware.

When I change characters on that account and get hung up on the loading screen, I have SIXTEEN Awesomium processes running in my taskmanager.

What is really killing me is that cannith is about to open the doors to the cove event and I won't be able to do it.

    Default If not resolved today

looks like I am seething quitting. I am trying to be just below rage quitting.

Game is completely unplayable for me.

No point in my hoping that my muddling around will fix it because it isn't. Completely out of my hands. Since I am part of the small amount of players according to Turbine that is affected, I realize that eventually the ball will be completely dropped if they cannot find a resolution.

    Have a great day.

2 days having random crashing while loading, this is ridiculous.
Spend some money on your servers turbine, stop being so cheap.

Moon...the choice is of course yours; but please be aware that this problem is effecting LOTRO, AC, DDO, and Star Wars Online...that we know of! This problem could be caused by a regional dispute where Turbine is located...among other things. I'm sure the reason the devs have not posted as of yet this morning is because they are in emergency mode with managers and telecons with the ISP to find out what is going on and get the problem(s) identified; so they can be worked. I suspect it will take some time; based on over 20 years of experience in this field they cannot try this and that willie nillie...they have to find the real cause(s) before they can institute a change. That is really hard to do on a weekend when most of your staff is out of the office and potentially unreachable.

It is likely out of Turbine's control and the people they deal will have been ordered to blame it on another party. This is a tough situation for everyone accept Verizon that can just wait it until someone else blinks.

    Submitted a ticket:
3 of 6 toons cannot login. Was able to get one in, but game froze at loading when switching from the necropolis to the market. Game can get to character screen for all but stops at loading on any of the affected characters.

Just a thought. Perhaps a more savvy person could say for sure.
ST uses Cogent located in Boston. Boston seems to be central to the problems.

Isn't this how the machines took over in the Terminator series?

ISP/internet issues can cause specific characters to break?

Comcast hates battle mages so they locked mine out?

I'm sure I can break more if I jump in and play them, but right now, 2 out of 23 characters are in limbo. time out when I try to log into them.

one is a Sorc.. Holding a greatsword. the other is my recent battlemage TR..

So still down, off and on for two months with "some players" , me being one. This one as stated earlier far surpasses anything, and if their other games are also affected, go figure.
f2p for a reason, maybe in a month will try again, if ever.
Customer Support, I obviously work for the wrong company since I surely would of been fired by now if our pages looked like this.
So the bad thing is even if they don't solve this they will continue on as if it never happened, as have always attributed the problems to "some players"

Yes...as has been posted in this thread before every time you zone there is some server to server activity going on...if it times out...then it tosses you. Easy enough for an outside ISP to screw with routing tables...or add latency by not expanding pipes to allow for timely data requests due to added traffic.

I still think its not Turbine's fault THIS TIME.
Anyways, VPN works just fine. I'm being able to play both in groups and soloing quests using CyberGhost right now with no limitation to my bandwidth at all. And I'm routed through a Norway (!!!) server atm.

As for data intensive, I've ran catacombs yesterday with a party and the whole chain only used around 50MB of data transfer. Thats nothing...

It isn't affecting RIFT, which runs beautifully - and has fully functional forums (along with weekly or better bugfixing.)
