August 4th, Login Issues

since the bug has been going on i have just been thinking of new builds and making lvl 7 VET II characters to finalize builds in my head and what not. While doing so i realized that i wasn't getting logged out or anything and no matter how many times i made another character i never got stuck on load screen and Disconnected. So i decided to log over to my main Dezmia to see if i could start playing again. again i got caught on load screen and was never able to successfully log into the world. there are some rare occasions where i can get into the game on her but shortly after on a random load screen, it will never load and the server will time out as usual and then i cant get back into the world on that character. im not sure if this means anything but i really hope it helps, thx for keeping us updated and GL fixing this ladies / gentlemen

Not sure what ye did, but it worked. The outer realm world of Seattle Metro seems to be connecting now. I hope tis the same for all of the globe.

Doing a tracert 74.201.102.13 there is no longer a verizon hop.

it is now COGENT.

all the alter.net hops are gone and replaced by cogent hops.

Looks like the finger pointing meeting had all the fickled fingers of fate pointing at Verizon(MCI doing business as Verizon).

Now for me to attempt to play Cove sometime and see if I crash changing zones anywhere along the way.

LOTRO players reporting the same thing.

Maybe I will sell my Verizn stock VZ and buy cogent stock CCOI.
