egh, nothing that evil should take up 827px of vertical space....
I always thought it was a hardware error or a pipeline error.

On Verizon FIOS install PrivateTunnel VPN and now I can get back into Orien.

If I have just one character stuck out of more then 10 on my primary account and about 10 on my other 5 accounts I would say it's not a network problem. Even if the error message says "server connection timed out".
It's a DDO problem on a Turbine side.
Mac client crash might be exactly the same as windows crash but just an error message is missing. And this error message is not actually helpful.

This is not a DDO Turbine issue it is an ISP issue. I have been able to get into every server except Orien for past two days. I have been having odd lag issues but thought it was cove for a few weeks. After I installed a free VPN service I can now login with no problems and all of my lag and screen issues have gone away completely.
Still cannot access ddo since this early this morning .. can't even get to select a world.
on At&t in USA the South. running win7.
played yesterday around noon ok. am downloading for a repair, but i doubt that's an issue since all was fine before....
"the underlying connection to the server was closed:unable to connect to remote server"
I am quite sure the crash is due to the socket timeout. It's always exactly at two minutes -just like Windows. It's actually the first time I have seen it timeout since I started using it months ago. The bigger issue is that I have run out of toons that I want to or can play.

Install this they have a MAC client and try and login it is free
I tried using Open VPN and was able to get into the game just fine. I was previously having the 33% error. I haven't tried running around much yet, but it looks normal.
I tried the openDNS addresses that the site gave me; did not change my route one bit...what DNS servers are you using? Only big difference I'm seeing is the alter.net connections...which is not Verizon and my connection is via comcast...so the Verizon issue appears to be a non-issue from my connection.
