I think the feat should be free after all the hard work completionist's put in to attain their goal. As for the aura, perhaps if it could be toggled on/off at the discretion of the player?

Free yes but no toggle just like the wings for TR, you don't want the wings or aura don't be a TR or a completionist

If it came to pass it would be excellent for the lower levels. For my Arti it would mean 1 more Toughness as there is nothing else I want.

Where was this posted? When is it suppose to take effect? I'll believe it when I see it. :P But regardless I agree to it nonetheless.

The last official word was that they did not intend to make it free. And if you believe all the rumors flying around here, well..yeah..

Glad the aura will give them away, because completionists usually like to keep their accomplishment a secret.

They should just get another pair of wings.

I don't even see my wings.
I wouldn't want to see any permanent auras.

It is free after you get the upgrade shard from the Fire Caves...

Believe it when I see it, unill then its all bs...

It should always have been a free feat, it is an accomplishment after all.
Upgraded wings is a pretty perk.

More likely to see Pathfinders finished MMO before I see free completionist though.

I don't want the aura. I don't want to be pestered by random noobs in Harbor for advice on their characters or begged for platinum. I made the run for completionist for the challenge of it and for the feat, not to be recognized as uber cool. Also, the devs have stated on at least 2 occasions, quite vehemently, that this feat is so powerful it should not be free; however, we can hope they change their minds....

Personally I gave up my Completionist Feat for the Athletics feat. I would much rather people admire me for my body over playing DDO too much.

Very interesting. It's already a powerful feat worthy of a slot, but it will help many feat-starved builds and encourage TR'ing for sure.

Lol....so powerful of a feat that most of us that earned it do not even take it over things like toughness (because you need this to qulify for epic toughness or racial toughness enhancements), cleave, great cleave, power attack, improved critical, TWF or THF lines, any meta (if applicable), any ranged feats (if applicable), dodge (most of the time), spell penn (all but evo and shirardi casters), spell/greater spell focus (all but shirardi casters), mental/imp mental toughness (shirardi casters), wizard past life (on all but shirardi casters), etc

To be honest I would venture to take even spring attack and whirlwind (if I had 2 feats to spare) over completionist. It might be different if this qualified us to take other feats with pre-reqs such as epic toughness or imp mental toughness.

The point is that it was much easier to fit this in before epic feats came around with pre-reqs such as cleave and great cleave that most never took before. Now not only is +2 all stats and skills trivialized, it is difficult to fit this feat in.

So for those that have not earned the feat, imagine if you put 4 years into earning the feat and Turbine decides to nerf your accomplishment to the oint where you can no longer take it. For other TRs, but non-completionists, what if Turbine decided to remove passive past life feats because its not fair to non-TRs? That is almost the equivalent of completionist now compared to pre MotU.
