Default Ninja Spy Enhancements and Vorpal Strikes

    Hello folks,

Well with the latest build on, Lammania all my melee charatcers failed to copy.

I was very anxious to copy over my halfling dex based ninja spy to see how he would fare out.

Sadly the copy tool failed once again.

Anyone know or test if Vorpal strikes will enable abilities outlined in Ninja Spy tree.

    Mostly speaking of

    -Ninja Training 1 and 2

    - Sting of the ninja

Would definitely be interesting if it did qualify for the slashing bonus to dex to dmg for dex based unarmed characters..

If it does not then its the typical let down and lackluster love coding for unarmed combat. The tree that gets touch of death has you in sorts forced to go melee weapons and not handwraps.

Just curious as so far Ninja Spy is looking way more melee weapons focused than unarmed.

    Thanks in advance.

At this point in time, Vorpal Strikes does not work with Ninja Training 1 & 2. I can't say anything about Sting of the Ninja, as my monk is actually primarily a Shintao monk, with Ninja Training 1 &2 splashed in to take advantage of the fact that it uses Dex for the to-hit and damage bonuses. That's how I found it that Vorpal Strikes does not function with those enhancements. However, a dev on Saturday morning said that she'll (?) make a note of making Vorpal Strikes work with it, as she felt that it ought to. So, here's hoping Vorpal Strikes works with Ninja Spy, when the updates go live. ^^
Power corrupts. Absolute power is really kinda neat.

If they decide that vorpal strikes won't work with these enhancements, it will definitely cost Monk classes to lose their appeal. Here's to hoping they fix that.

I'm interested too in lowering monk MultyAbilityDependence. Can we have an official answer about this?

Well the stuff went live, I'm very much interested in if this will work, before I use my heart of Wood to rebuild my monk

    Default Does not work

I have tested it, and vorpal strikes currently does not work with ninja spy training II, i cannot confirm if it works with ninja training I because i have weapon finesse as a feat, but i would assume that it does not.
Instead of complaining that there are no healers, go roll one...

Can you test with a celestia somehow? Because shortsword/kama selection is EXTREMELY limited in epic game. If it doesnt work with celestias, might as well hang it up for the epic game expecting any use out of ninjaspy core enhancements.

Like the Sun Blade, Celestia is typed as a Short Sword therefore will benefit from the Improved Critical - Piercing Feat.

This seems to give me hope, but I really dont want to hang my hopes on something that just wont work.

    edit---
Ninjaspy core enhancements are utter garbage. Looks like the best weapon you can use with it would be a lit2 or rad2.

It SEEMS to work fine for me... Celestia gets dex to damage under its ability listings. Don't know if that's working or not because I'm a suricannon, but I was just throwing that out there.

No updates on whether it's possible to make dex to damage work with unarmed through any trick in the book? Neither ninja spy abilities nor assassin abilities work with unarmed, even though they're supposed to work with any finessable weapon... but handwraps aren't weapons.
