Do Brawling Gloves Work in Wolf Form?

Wondering if the Brawling Gloves Spike Studded dmg and Glass Jaw Strike work in Wolf form while wielding a weapon. I'm a little confused about the whole "unarmed" even though wielding a weapon deal

I understand that when wielding a weapon in wolf form you only get the damage enhancements off the weapon (not the die dmg, crit range, etc.). But I guess my question is, do Brawling Gloves still interact with that weapon as though you were armed (since you technically are), or do Brawling Gloves look at the damage you are doing (unarmed) and proc off that?

just picked up the gloves, and they do work with the druid wolf form.
