Closed Beta Login Issues

Yup same issues here.... Can not log in.... well it was worth a try right?! I know everyone is working hard to figure out what the problem is (at least I hope they are)..... A little frustrated at the possibility to winning a lifetime VIP, even though I know I would not get it Hopefully this helps the devs figure out what is going on and are able to make it good for all later on.... Thanks everyone for the suggestions and it is really nice to see the positive within people supporting those who work so hard to make us able to play this game at all!!!!

I agree with you. I don't mean to sound like I don't support them. just that last night my annoyance got the better of me. I do support the dev's and I can understand the issues that they have to work through with such a little amount of staff. I am actually going to school for game art& design so that I can understand. all I wonder is that if they are going to do something for the pre-order/vip's that did not get in.

I'll bet you 10 cp that your DDO icon is pointed towards dndlauncher.exe. Right click on the shortcut and in the target field, change dndlauncher.exe to turbinelauncher.exe. That being said, you will now be able to enjoy tbe "world is full" error that the rest of us are currently enjoying.

I have 2 things to ask:

1) How many of you that have issues have installed the client on a custom location?

I installed it in a custom directory.

I use two disks, an SSD for the OS and a separate HDD for the games and programmes. So the game (like all my games) are installed on my E: drive rather than the default C: drive and the default directory.

Based on the replies in this thread about re-installing the game not helping, I'm not about uninstall it and start filling up my C: drive.

They need to fix this so the game runs from whichever directory it's installed to, otherwise I'm not going to bother.

No word yet on why some of us were finally able to log in yesterday? I sent in my system info and my logs, hopefully that helps. I did see the lovely part where the gent who got in got lambasted for it as if he'd done something wrong. Classy.

Though I'll ask yet again, what is going to happen with the lottery? I could give two tally tugs less about the stupid prizes, but those who couldn't get in due to whatever the problem is shouldn't be penalized. I absolutely hate this phrase, but it's not fair.

Seriously? Like brown nosing is going to help fix it? How about you walk through a Lego Factory barefoot? Are some of us getting ****ed? Yes, every single time something like this comes down the pipes there is some kind of issue like this. If you think we aren't "entitled" to be soured by constant delays, inexplicable breaks, and ham handed attempts to run these events you seriously need to stop drinking the Kool Aid.

It is a test server, but we were Invited to join on the test server. They invited us to join the party and then stuff happens and we can't get in. So even though it is a test server, this should never have happened.

Edit: It should have been noticed before they sent the invites* saying somewhere someone posted they could not get on at all in previous weeks of closed beta.

Sent in my log file as well, one thing I've noticed in the launcher is the the "Overall" progress of the updater never goes over 88%, perhaps some files aren't being updated properly??

I've downloaded twice and the same thing happened twice. I thought it was me.

I've been checking on and off all weekend. Of course nothing will be done until the system engineers finish their Monday morning coffee and donuts.

And it probably will go live. I've lost most of the Ooomph that I had for this game. Kind of feeling like Hammerpoint and Sergei took over at turbine. To be honest I really dont care about the game anymore because I have come to the realization that there is no longer progression through the player base in terms of suggestions, ideas, feedback, etc. FOr the most part the player base is ignored and has been so for some time, it is no longer about the player base or for the good of the game.
I do Lament the loss of something great and it has been a good 6 long years for my relationship with DDO, but even the best of games can collapse in on themselves through the weight of their own success.
So I will play until the last day I can tolerate, my play time is getting less and less so next Update will probably be the cut off point. In which case for those of you On Orien, it will be a nice goody festival. I will be running a roll for prizes all day on the server giving away items the rollD100 way.
On the other hand it comes with decent timing and there is a reason for many things in life. I begin Med school shortly so my play time would be non-existent anyways.

Well my wife's (Atraice17) game is not loading on my or her pc..when she logs in.. she gets the "Lammania Down" screen.

Yet when I log in.. it loads right up for me...


Any thoughts?

Still not able to login and cannot find the file you all want sent been three days trying to get thisa I have to go to work in 2 hours for my 3rd shift and not a single second of plkay the entire time of the BETA! Are we going to get a second chance for this or are we all hosed?

Wow, after reading this threadnaught I'm kinda glad that I haven't tried to log in yet.

So... is Lamannia up or down? Is the server closed?
