    Question U19 and Monster Manual

    with the release of U19 and the xpax - will there be additional volumes of the Monster Manual?

    Many really do enjoy the Monster manual - everyone I know does - especially TR's.

    There is not a new monster manual for U19, sorry. The development team is currently hard at work tracking down all the monsters in the last couple of updated that were missed for the MM volumes already out there. We're aiming to get all those entries corrected by the time U19 reaches the live servers.

    There are people who would gladly and easily read the .dat files and give you a well compiled list, pity history shows they get banned for it.

    I can save you any effort in tracking down any monsters still missing since Update 14!

    Every single missing monster outside of the Stormhorns is listed here:

    https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthrea...l-Known-Issues

    Now I know you already have these because they have been individually bug reported, and then they have been grouped into period bug reports by type, and sometimes by pack, and sometimes just copied and pasted all into one big bug report. Usually with each update or patch I'll post a little reminder.

    But it never does any harm to point you to to a list in a public thread that you've replied to on the subject just incase all of the previous stuff has slipped through the net.

    Looking forward to deleting 99.99% of these in 3 weeks time when U19 hits live.

    If you could put another dev post when there is a Lamannia build that has all these fixed, I'll gladly run a character through all the content on Lamannia and verify.

    Glad to see you folks finally getting round to fixing this stuff. It helps shut the mouths of people who complain that you leave all these unfinished projects scattered throughout the game.

    As you seem not to have decided which monsters to put into the next manual I'd like to give you a list of those I feel should be added ASAP:

    In order {first to last} these would be:

    Ogres {Incl Ogre Magi}
    Gnolls
    Wights
    Drow
    Orcs {incl. H-Orcs}
    Mummies
    Flesh Renders {Incl Fire Reavers and Ice Flensers}.
    Scorrow
    Shadows {Incl. Umbral Worgs and Gargoyles as they're not counted in the standard versions}.
    Cats {The Non-Fiendish Versions}
    Dogs
    Dragons {Make Sure ALL of them are added!}

    I didn't expect any Monster Manuals for the expansion, since there was so much to do for this release that seemed to put together at the last minute. Like others, I like the Monster Manuals, but I've been a bit disappointed at the lack of keeping the Monster Manuals up-to-date and filling in the missing mobs from previous releases.

    New releases (or release so far) seems to be every 6 months. So I pretty much expect one with Update 20 for this reasons. Also, because one of the ProducerRoawn's description of the Update 20 as Epic True Reincarnation, it appears that update may have little to no quest content, especially when bookmarked with Update 19: The Shadowfell and Update 21: Haunted Halls, with multiple dragons.

    Fairly good list. I'd like to see Ogres and Orge Magi stay together, but the Devs seem to split such things up to extend the number of Monster Manuals possible in the future. Orcs and Half-Orcs should be separated. I forsee the Devs splitting the Renders, Reavers and Flensers to either pad a Monster Manual or extend number of possible future Monster Manuals. Anything Umbral is a shadow and that's why the Umbral Worgs, Umbral Rats and Umbral Gargoyls shouldn't have been included in the current Monster Manauls.

    I expect that Dogs and Cats will appear in separate Monster Manuals. I also Air Elementals and Water Elementals with unlocked cosmetic pets will appear in two separate Monster Manuals and most likely the next two Monster Manauls. I wouldn't be surprised if the next Monster Manual has Doomspheres with a cosmetic pet to unlock. And just for a bit of guilty pleasure, I'm hoping that one or two more unique Mimics are added so that they make it into a future Monster Manual with a cosmetic pet unlock. Of course, when Dragons finally get added, a cosmetic pet should unlock with them.

    Orcs and H-Orcs - Seriously there's like 5 different H-Orcs in Game and maybe 15 Orcs - Splitting them up would be silly!
    Think of the Travesty of Ghouls and Ghasts and DON'T REPEAT IT!

    Renders, Reavers, Flensers - These are interchangeably named by NPCs - They are essentially the same mob with different abilities and are MUCH MORE Similar to each other than the likes of Fiendish Lions and Bezikira or Jariliths!

    I'm sure we'll see Air Eles and Water Eles soon enough - They just don't feature in the list because it's NOT a shame that they're missing!

    Umbrals - I know why they weren't added with their respective living creatures BUT I'm just saying that I DON'T want to see Shadows in the MM NOT counting them either!

    There's like 2 Doomspheres in the game - Why oh Why are these NOT in the Beholder list?

    Orcs would be under humanoids.
    half-orcs fall under player races.

    I was just listing things as the Devs have set up their silly rules.

    Orcs and Half-Orcs should be seperated if for no other reason than as Ksegall stated, one's a humanoid and the other is a player race. I agree that all Renders/Flensers/Reavers should be in the same category, but the Devs have appeared to separate true Giants and all Golems (although this is just speculation) into small categories. On more firm sand, the Devs have outright stated that Mudmen are Earth Elementals that will be getting their own future listing in the MM and that Living Spells and Cubes don't belong in the Ooze entry (although the Living Nightmare is still listed in the Ooze).

    As for Doomspheres, there are 3 of them. They weren't included in the Beholder entry. I assume this means they will get their own entry in the future. Okay, so that's a shallow number, but I'm just throwing support behind the cosmetic doomsphere when it does it get added.

    Do I expect a new MM to happen soon? No, because the Devs have clearly shown that the MM isn't important by letting a few updates go by before adding the new mobs to the MMs (and not to mention the lack of fixing the missing mobs from the MM). Besides we're 7 months and going into a third update with no word of a new MM.
