I'm wondering if the buid I posted here

is viable, or missing anything.

I'm not sure I posted it in the right place.

I'm basically going for something like this

except I'm using the extra feats for a shield, exploiting the fact that Dwarven axes can cause glancing blows when used with a shield.

Unless the Defensive Strikes (Tier 1 Cheap Shintao) changes from the public beta i wouldn't bother with a shield-build. Take 12 fighter and enough Kensai stuff to get centered in a great axe, 6 monk for Shadow Fade and Defensive strikes, 2 pally for divine grace.

Go CON-based for a whole bunch of HP. Dwarf enhancements allow for using your CON modifier for damage.

Between the broken Defensive Strikes and Earth Stance 4 (purchasable with feats) 100ish PRR is possible. CON-based means a bunch of HP.

Should be better than anything using a shield because from what I say on Lamania before it went closed Stalwart defender was absolutely terrible.

Last I heard/checked CON did not give 1.5 damage when THF. Depending on the goal of the build that may or may not bother you but its important to mention.
