If you could be paid to play Dungeons & Dragons Online every day, what would you want your job to be?

I'd want to be the person responsible for telling you guys when your links are broken, like the one from Issue 53 to this forum thread. Either that or general software tester.

I'd start as a ladder repairman. Go to find every ladder in the game and test it, and fix if broken.
Also I'd test every lever with every hireling.

If I ever ran out of work, I could moderate public chat and censor immodest armor skins.

A scout. the spotter of problems and trends of all sorts, relaying that information to headquarters where it can be turned into marching orders.

people won't run a quest because it gives too little xp? a spell is useless? a crate won't break?
stone of change won't convert a stack of 10,000 shards at once but forces you to repeatedly and endlessly click it instead?

    that's what I'm here for
making sure the game remains as fun, smooth and pleasing as possible.

Food critic. I would tour the different taverns and rate them according to the quality of their service.

I would like to be a creative monster AI sauce tester.

Of course, there needs to be a Dungeon Master wand to tweak monster's AI sauce on the fly...

I would have a low level character in korthos helping them with quest and showing them the ropes and giving them some gear before they hit harbor.

Show new players the 'scenic route' of DDO. Let them know that everything doesn't have to be a race and that it is okay to meander through quests enjoying the lore and ambiance...the loot and power come quickly enough anyway.

Default DDO Job: The Sage of Shinies

DDO Job: The Sage of Shinies

There are so many variations of magic items that it is overwhelming. Which is a good thing. When I started, I had to try and use just about every magic item there was to determine if they were useful for me. Luckily, that was back in 2007 so there were fewer. Believe me, I tried to do some stupid stuff.

I read the forums and learned about Clickies? What is that? Just exactly what clickies do I think help a player and what clickies don't. Eventually, inventory management becomes an issue for just about all players.

Explain that a magic item with a spell that is cast at 1st level, probably is not going to work well against a level 7 monster.

Bracers of Repairing/Sustenance, what is that?

What weapon at low level is the best all around weapon? I have an opinion, but I don't want to derail the thread on player opinions.

Devotion items and how a healing cleric/druid/favored soul should have one.

Is your caster a specialist in fire? Then you need a combustion item. Specialist in Acid? then you need a corrosive item. Etc.
