Me and my girlfriend, duo a lot in ddo, we are casual players and the moduals take a long time for us most of the time. So we also have a few spots around the 15-18 that it is hard to complete some moduals and raids are almost out of the question. (I have gone on 3 or so I believe and she 1.) So our equipment suffers as we can't play the "1334" difficulties on elite and so forth. Not to mention we have been playing for over 2 years and almost have a 20th lvl character between us.
There are some issues on how characters are built for ddo that are different than pnp, and I find that a challenge often, but adjustable, thanks to lesser hearts.
We both miss the old lottery, though you didn't get something every day, at least it was usually something decent, instead of a lousy collectible. That being said we are glad the weekly gold roll was added, especially as we also play Lotro, and how good the hobbit gifts are in comparison, with just the silver rolls.
I also spend a fair amount of time on the test server and after looking at the new enhancements it does give me some concern about the enhancements and how the game plays. For example my main is an archmage, because though it really isn't as good for our duo as pale master would be, I also play my alignment as best as the game allows, and so would never qualify or be willing to be a pale master. However because of the huge HP scaling, I am an archmage necro focus, (for the dc's of wail, finger, powerword, undeath to death, circle of death, etc), no undead creation. So the difficulties in reducing the sla's available to the archmage just reduces how well I can optimize each spell point.
A final point, that comes to mind is cannith crafting, I have spent so much time and ingame resources trying to get mine up with my artificer. That for the two of us is a huge investment and without it being updated with all the loot changes (which I do like) it is hard to care given how far behind it is, and hard it is to get up.
Thanks.
To other posters. This is my situation, and how I feel about it. I don't really need to hear how uber you may be or how easy everything is to you, thanks. I just didn't have an easy way to give feedback directly to staff.
