Launcher not closing?

Since the latest update, I lost my "Automatically connect to last world" option, and my launcher doesn't close when the game client opens up anymore.

I'm assuming the former is intended, but is the latter something that everyone's experiencing now? Is there any way to fix it? Its a minor inconvenience, having to manually close the launcher each time, but one I still would like to avoid if possible

Go to the Options and Uncheck "Keep Launcher Open".

After the first time you log in, your last server is remembered and highlighted in green. Type your password, press enter, wait ~150ms, press enter again. Voila!

Yeah that checkbox is buggy...it doesn't display checked even if I click it, and clicking it anyway doesn't seem to do anything

And I don't know why I have to hit enter again - what was the reason they removed that feature?

You have to have "Allow Multiple Game Instances" UN-checked to have the "Enter last played world" available (at least that's how it's working for me). The older launcher behavior would be with both the new option boxes UN-checked.
