    Default Pity, the thrower

So, with new enhancments around the corner, i've been trying to think of the best way to gimp myself, i mean make a thrower build.

So far, this is what i've come up with (similar to monkcher builds)

    halfling 12/6/2 monk/ranger/fighter

12 monk- stances, access to new ninja spy tree, access to vorpal strikes to have unarmed slashing damage
6 ranger- free feats: precise shot, twf, itwf, and rapid shot, and also access to the new deepwood sniper tree, which seems especially appealing for throwers.
2 fighter- more feats, full BAB, could also go rogue for skills

    stats: 32pt build
    starting
    str 10 + 9gear+2 rams=21(base 10)
    dex 18 + 2tome+1lvl+9 gear+4stance=34(21 base)
    con 15 + 9 gear +2 tome -2 stance= 24 (17 base)
    int 8
    wis 16 +2tome+5lvl+9 gear =32(23 base)
    cha 8

    feats: base 7
    point blank shot
    quickdraw
    dodge
toughness(note, dodge+toughness may be switched out, but not sure what might be better)
    ic blunt
    ic throwing
    Grandmaster of forms

    monk: 3 bonus
    shuriken expertise
    stunning fist
    10k stars

    fighter: 2 bonus
    improved precise shot
    gtwf

    epic: 2
    vorpal strikes @ 21
    combat archery @24

    This build would have a
~43.5% chance to throw 1 shuriken
~45% chance to throw 2 shuriken
~11.5% chance to throw 3 shuriken

That is, assuming that the new ninja spy t1 core enhancement works like shuriken expertise, and also triggers separately.

leveling would look something like 1-6 ranger, 7-18 monk, 19-20 fighter
    Using

epics would be played mainly in shiradi champion, twisting cocoon ASAP.

Any suggestions for making this build a better thrower? beside converting it to the standard monkcher?

First I'll start by saying I'm going off whats in this PDF https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B1XE...aFk/edit?pli=1 so it might be outdated

Well to start obviously Halfling is too awesome not to take for a Thrower build but the damage from shurikens is abysmal so what about a Rogue Assassin/Monk Ninja Spy to maximize SA damage...a sneak specialist too since the next expansion also includes a big update to stealth mechanics.

I'm just brainstorming here to get some ideas flowing and I really am curious what the best mix of rogue/ranger and monk is to get maximum SA So to start lets look at Rogue12/Monk6/Ranger2

    Halfling: 1d6
    Rogue 12: 6D6
    Sneak Attack Training Rogue: 4D6
    DSW Core 1: 1D6
    Epic SA: 3D6
    SAT Monk: 4D6

    So that's 19D6 SA

    Single Class Rogue Assassin

    Halfling: 1d6
    Rogue 20: 10D6
    Sneak Attack Training Rogue: 4D6
    Epic SA: 3D6
    Capstone: 4D6

    and thats 22D6 SA

So only 3d6 less than a Single-Class Rogue if I'm reading things right...not bad on shruikens

Now lets see what were losing by not having ranger 3-6

+10m of SA/PBS range. This is quite helpful in quests that have this much space. So I'd miss this
bunch of FE stuff which imo is useless
Called Shot/Aimed Shot I'm not really sure what to think of these...their nice abilities but have massive cooldowns.\
Precise Shot & ITWF...dang losing 2 feats might not work.

I think thats about it...let's see if I can fit in those 2 feats.

    Let's see....

IC: Blunt - This is a thrower build the unarmed is just backup and to be used for stunning fist, etc.
Dodge = W/O Spring Attack or SOTR this is a fairly minor feat

So I dropped 2 feats...oh dang I forgo about the 2 Fighter feats...wait why ARE you trying to fit in TWF and whatnot again..this is a thrower build...you don't need TWF to land a stunning fist you just need handwraps of stunning and a High Wisdom. (I'm actually curious I'm not trying to be condescending...I think I missed something in your OP)

Personally I think going 12+Rogue is your best bet to getting a viable amount of damage out of this type of build...and of course Halfling.

Actually with Zen Archery this could easily be a Int/Wis Build for some Assassinating fun (assuming they fixed the bug where Assassinate doesn't work at SA/PBS Range only melee)

    So let's see the build

Rogue13/Monk6/Fighter1 or 12/6/2 (rogue feat & +1D6 SA vs. normal feat & tier 2 fighter enhancements)

    Str 8
Dex 17 (+3 tome and 1 lvl or +4 tome = 21 pre-req for Epic SA and CA)
    Con 10
    Int 16
    Wis 16
    Cha 8

Lvl-ups: You have a choice between here between a higher Assassinate DC (Int) and a better well everything Monk related AC, S-Fist DC, Shuriken Expertise Proc Chance, etc. Personally I'd go with Wisdom simple because it covers alot more things

Note: If Ranged Assassinate is still bugged stick with a Dex/Wis build with the majority of Lvl-ups in Wisdom

    Like This:

    Str 8
    Dex 18
    Con 12
    Wis 18

Epic Destiny: Shiradi Champion - +60% Attack speed increase...case closed.

    Feats (No particular order)

    Normal

    1 Quick Draw
    2 PBS
    3 IC: Ranged
    4 Precise Shot
    5 IPS
    6 GMoF
    7 10k Stars

    Epic

    1 Epic Sneak Attack
    2 Combat Archery

    Monk

    1 Zen Archer
    2 Stunning Fist
    3 Shuriken Expertise

    Fighter

    1 Rapid Shot

    Rogue

    1 Improved Evasion
2 Slippery Mind (I'm not sure if Opportunist or Crippling Strike work for ranged weapons)

Oh actually looking at it this build has 3 % chance boosts to throwing an extra shot...do these stack

    10K Stars = Wis % Chance
Ninja Training Core 2 = Dex % Chance
Shuriken Expertise = Wis % Chance

Oh also be sure you have a good crafter on hand and The Shroud and Lord of Blades Adventure Packs because as far as I know there's only 2 Named Shurikens that aren't Greensteel or Alchemical and their Level 2 (Shadowstar) and 4 (Snowstar).

Here's hoping they Epicfy "Seal of Shan-to-Kor"
