Default Changes to stacking exceptional bonuses and greensteel

so take a MinII helm --

has a total of +6 exceptional constitution bonus.

Take away the stacking but double the highest correct? so the +6 remains the same?

Any other noticed changes to greensteel?

Will this make GS more or less popular for general / TR use?

As far as I can tell, the only real impact of the change for Greensteel itself is that some uber-dedicated TR people who must have the absolute best gear will probably regrind new greensteels with +4/+6 in different stats (and possibly +2/+4/+6 sets for the truly creative).

Default Greensteel Hp or sp stacking

Is there any changes to hp or sp stacking btw? In terms og Greensteel items?

Can anyone looked into this once Lammania comes back online.

On my rogue, I have a set of air-air-air gloves for +45 hp, +6 dex skills, 3/day haste, and haste guard. With this change, I will be grinding him a new set of gloves for 20+ that are air-water-air, which will give him +45 hp, +6 dex skills, +4 str skills, freezing ice guard, and 2/day polar ray. I considered crafting him a new set of goggles (currently has ConcOp with Blindness Immunity at tier 1), but I cannot find a combination I like that gives me +3 (soon to be +6) to Charisma skills at tier 3 and something else I like at tier 2.

MinII bow - now has 'Keen I' which implies there might be Keen II etc.

Holy on my triple holy still is 2d6.

The exceptional bonuses to skills works exactly as suspected --- the changes end up keeping the item the same - which is good and bad.

Good - because this keeps the items that we worked on so hard / long (and payed for in mistakes etc) valuable.

Bad - all other items now have gotten better, while existing GS items have stayed the same. Would be better if the Dev's found a way to stack one or two of the skill bonuses so the effective would be a +8 or +12. I know this seems allot - but this might help extend the usefulness of GS into epic.

GS should NOT be useful in Epic. GS is not epic. It shouldn't really be useful after level 17/18 or so but people are so lazy they just want one piece of equipment per slot that will take them from 1 to 25 (so to be 28).

So you are saying that the 45Hp and the 100+sp that you can get from GS is not useful in Epic?

Any changes should be retroactive. At least I hope as it means they have their ducks in a row and can more easily fix things going backwards if they want.

Well - grandfather / and retro.

ie - give us a choice - only make the changes retro if we use the altar of epic rituals + item + Kobold (the actual monster) - and it gives us our (all of them - including shards) back.... so we can build it again.

Why? I can't think of any possible cases in GS where forcing this change will leave you worse off. For anyone with 2 different exceptional skill bonuses on one item it's a boost.

    *provided it works bug free*

My intimitank's +6 to cha skills cloak is now +6 to cha skills, but those +2 and +4 to cha skills are wasted. So I guess now it's better to combine +45 HP item with +6 cha skills item. Saves one slot and it's only 20 HP lost.

From what I understand thats not possible, nor should it be. Changes should always affect everything. I understand it makes people mad sometimes, however it is beneficial to players more often than not for updates to work in that manner, as the outcry when 'old' items dont get 'upgraded' is usually quite a bit more visceral

I'm saying there should be other stuff that give more than 45 HP and more than 100 that makes GS obsolete once you get in the epic levels. Hell, there should be EPIC GS stuff but that's not going to happen any time soon.

GS items also can make +1 and +2 exceptional bonuses to saves. Has anyone checked those - do they still stack? Are they doubled?
