A Ray of Hope Encounter @ Wheloon Prison

Dear lord. Worst encounter ever. You are supposed to escort Adara Semple to Shar Manor. !st off, Shar Manor does not show up on map so it's gonna be a real pain if you do not already know where your supposed to go. The 2nd and most painful thing is that escorting Adara is like taking a inquisitive dog for a walk. Adara will run every which way and agro everything it can. I burnt through 3000 SP and never made it more than half way. Every time you think you are making progress Adara will run back the opposite way. If you put a wall of fire down Adara will just run in circles drawing even more agro. I could never kill what I had and get her to move on without her pulling more and more mobs. 3 mobs becomes 4 and then 5. It's like Bebe's kids, they don't die they multiply. This encounter is just one long and painful exercise in frustration. After 20-30 minutes and no SP I just walked away. I hope those %^$& shadows killed her god knows I wanted to after a night spent trying to help her out. The only thing good I can say is they do give you a nice icon on the map so you can keep track of her as she continually runs the opposite way from where you are trying to lead her. Talking to her and asking her to follow you seems to have no effect on her directional traveling abilities.

Definitely an encounter not worth doing. I was me and another toon and it took a while to figure out she spawns shadows around her (they don't spawn when you're running through the map w/o her around), and they spawn so quickly she bares makes any progress behind you before she's running off to find them. We had already cleared the entire path from the manor (when we finally found it) to her and it still took 20m or more to drag her there with nothing but shadows popping up. Soon as it completed, no more random shadows...

Either the spawning needs to be gotten rid of entirely, or turned way down.

Agreed. I wasnt as frustrated because I just didnt care enough and quit soon. I think at least an icon for the manor would be warranted. She should know where it is from a RP perspective, and I wouldnt have minded if I had any clue where I was going. As is though, its one to skip.

Were you in the epic version? I was in the heroic version, and while she was distracted by spawning shadows, it wasn't nearly as extreme as your experiences. I even found a couple of new journals in the process.

Not sure if I was in the heroic or Epic versions but the zone respawns and the shadow encounter spawns made it about as enjoyable as hitting myself in the head with a hammer repeatedly.

Were you in the epic version? I was in the heroic version, and while she was distracted by spawning shadows, it wasn't nearly as extreme as your experiences. I even found a couple of new journals in the process.

I was in heroic and it was quite annoying, likely because I had nothing ghost touch (just shadar starter gear) so by the time the shadows were killed, she had about 4-5s to move before new shadows popped up (if you took her in a direction you had to double back on, even worse).

I did the epic level version and she ran the wrong direction almost 50% of the time. Horrible wast of time, almost like coyle

I know this is a lamannia forum, however on the live server (I'm on Thelanis) she won't enter the manor on epic map.
