Default Dragon Mark of Finding & Rerolling Loot.

I think it could be a good idea to change the Greater Dragonmark of Finding from a +1 loot mechanic, to allow a free re-roll on chest loot.

This could either replace the astral shards roll, or work in addition to it, giving a chest blesser, 3 chances to re roll a particular chest.

    Lol nice try.

It would become from a "kinda nice to have" to a "must have" for every endgame players.

Free chances to have a named items? Count me in.

dunno about you, but the circles i run with, when it's relevant we always leave chests closed and bring in a buff bot at the end anyway. I certainly wouldn't pick up the feats on any more toons after this suggestion than I do already.

The difference between a +1 loot and a free re-roll is huge. A +1 many times is actually worth nothing if not coupled with a +2 Jewel.

A free re-roll means that every character (because EVERY end player will have this) have a chance at a named item TWICE for every quest/every chest.

With the changes to Dragonmark, this means that you have to waste ONE feat only to have this ability. Trust me, I'd find the room for that feat even on my Sorcerer.

at least change the 'breakable drops random (but useful) (and drops upon leaving) part of it - worthless. I don't see and bards using this.

This, it's got to be the only dragonmark ability that is never in any quest under any circumstance useful. Maybe change it to lesser chest blessing the treasure chest you bless has 50% more gold in it.

That way it's not overpowered compared to other marks but it still has a use.

Isn't dragonmark of finding limited to humans? Do you think every end player will only play human?

Humans get a free feat but you still see plenty of other races in play in end game runs.
