Default Changes to double strike, and effects on rangers and monks

I picked up a pair of skirmisher's bracers today and was happy to see 8% doublestrike on them. Then I noticed that the doublestrike was an enhancement bonus. Hmmm, does this stack with out doublestrike items which are morale bonus I thought? Nope, tried on another doublestrike item, didn't stack. I thought perhaps it was just a typo, so I tested it out with lightning mace, with is also an enhancement bonus, didn't stack.

So, it appears that all items with doublestrike on them are now an enhancement bonus. I am assume this was done because, after about 2 years of complaining, the fact that the bard some inspire recklessness doesn't stack with doublestrike items and is essentially a fort debuff for more people, is being changed. As somebody who plays many a bard I should be jumping for joy, but I'm not. That's because I realize that tempest rangers and wind stance monks also use enhancement bonuses to doublestrike, and that this change is a HUGE nerf to those classes.

So, while I would like to say thank you to the devs for making inspire recklessness stack again, I can't, because I know it comes at the expense of rangers and monks.

So I would encourage the devs to re-type these items to yet another doublestrike type. Why not just equipment bonus? Then everybody can be happy, and a benefit to one class doesn't have to come at a detriment to another class.

Typically items have enhancement or competence bonus.
Enhancements and Feats are stacking "Feat" bonuses.

The break out is better seen with Skills now. Hover your mouse over the "Total Mod" number of a skill. You'll see "base", "tome", "ability", "feats and enhancement", and "Effects"... Effects covers Feats, which is separate from Feats and Enhancements.

So Items previously using a type "Morale" bonus, use "Enhancement" like every other item. (Yaaa consistency)
Enhancements that were "Enhancement" type in the past should now be untyped or typed "Feat".
Bards have been upgraded from Nerf to FoamRubber.

I'm aware of how stacking of different types work, no need for a lesson there My question was more about individual types and how they have changed.

Are you saying that monk wind-stance and ranger doublestrike bonuses have been changed to a different type now? If so, excellent. I tested them with the Legendary Dreadnaught ability "lightning mace" which is indeed still typed as an enhancement bonus and does NOT stack with items. Monk wind stance still says enhancement bonus in the text, but I do not have an appropriate item with which to test the stacking.

Would be nice if they just changed the monk / ranger bonuses to a Feat bonus, allowing them to stack as all feat bonuses should.

I've no issue with the items changing, but I think changing the monk / ranger double strike would be the appropriate longterm solution.

Any news if ED Shadow Dancer's Untouchable is stacking with dodge on items now?
