No sound

I just updated the Lamannia client on my desktop and now I have now sound whatsoever on Lamannia. I went into options and checked sound playback device and all I see is none for selection. However under voice playback and voice capture it shows my sound card. I restarted the game and still no sound card detection or any sound at all. I reloaded the beta client on my laptop computer and have no problem with sound. I didn't do a complete reinstall of the beta client on my desktop, just started beta launcher and let it update itself. I know the sound card was working before I launched the beta client because I was on live sever just before this happened and it was working fine.

Ok, I can now hear voice chat and talk with party members, but still no background sounds whatsoever.

Also have the same issue, no background / NPC sounds.
