    Default Advanced Weapon Finesse

    Required Feats: Weapon Finesse
    Required BAB: 3
Required Stats: Dexterity 15+, Strenght 12+

Weapon finesse allows the character to use his dexterity modifier instead of the strength modifier when making melee attack rolls. The highest of the strength and dexterity modifiers will be used for attack rolls with qualifying weapons. The strength modifier is still used as a bonus to the damage roll, however.

This treat is inactive while wearing Medium or Heavy armor.
A Fighter may select this feat as one of his fighter bonus feats.
It would be useful as it would allow us to make more interesting fighters.

Unless things have changed from last week, Elves, Rogues, Rangers, and Monks are all getting enhancements that allow that for certain weapons.

    Elf: Racial weapons
Rogues: Weapons that work with Weapon Finesse and Quarterstaves
    Ranger: Light weapons and Scimitars
    Monks: Shortswords

Dunno about others, but i checked elfs and cannot find dex-based bonus to attack rolls. Can u show me where is it?

Also, even while we could bonus for longsword with elf, what is better than nothing, we still don't have possiblity for using it for, dunno, greatsword? Bastard sword? While with first one could be logic problem - if it is for greatsword, it should be for greatmace, and greatmace getting bonus from dex is strange ect - the bastard sword should have possibility to do it.

Elven Enhancements. Look at Grace. The text is a bit off, but it gives DEX to damage.

For the others it is in the respective tree's core enhancements.

I'm confused - your OP seems to describe Finesse as it works now - DEX to hit, but not to damage? Are you asking for a feat for DEX-to-damage as well?

If you are, then yes Elves will get that as a racial for (IIRC) all weapons, which is going to be the saving Grace (pun intended) of that much maligned race, post-EP

If you're not, then I'm not sure what the difference is between Finesse and Advanced Finesse - and I'm also unsure why anyone would take it, when they still have to pump STR for damage rolls anyway. Why have two separate stats for melee when you can just pump one stat to benefit both to-hit and damage?

Will saving grace be available to half elves too?

I already have a helf dex based short sword 13 rogue / 7 monk, that would be sweet.

Nope, gotta go pure point-ear Which is good because Elves really need something....Helf>Elf in every way except Elf is F2P.
