Default Factotum Class and Better Weapon Sheathing

    Factotum Class:
DDO needs the Factotum class, aka the Jack-of-All-Trades class, and it needs to be f2p, or p2p and unlockable with 200 total favor. And you can't have a Factotum (Melee) under Melee, Factotum (Spell) under Spell, and so forth, you need to put a single Factotum class under Specialized.

    Better Weapon Sheathing:
First of all, I think you should replace the "/sheathe" command with a key-bound "Toggle Sheathed" function, and one should have to press that key to unsheathe your weapons outside of an adventure area or tavern brawling area. Second of all, you should be able to see your weapons while sheathed, and all daggers, shortswords, longswords, rapiers, and bastard swords without unique models should have a constantly visible scabbard, nothing special, just a simple black scabbard, and only the weapon types I listed should have scabbards because any other weapons having visible scabbards would either be too difficult to make a standard scabbard for it, or it would just be stupid to have a scabbard for it (i.e. a battleaxe). And one should be able to change where the scabbard is on the body (at the hip or on the back).

There are plenty of multiclass builds that create "jack of all trades" type characters, with a full suite of skills (DPS, self healing, trapping ability, buffs, offensive spells, etc.) There's no need for a formal class that does the same thing. WF Artificer, Tempest Trapmonkey, WF Wiz/Rogue splits, Monk/Rogue splits, Druid/Rogue splits, etc. etc.

Why seriously why? It would be gimped from feats even if you went with the hilariously op class I found online. Why? because ddo has moved away from pnp. It's an op class in pnp but because of the hp and saves bloat of ddo the class wouldn't be able to dps or cast well enough to do more than increase scaling. If you want a high functioning toon that can do it all I suggest

    Juggernaut
    Pale Trapper
    or something of those lines.

This is the last thing that the devs need to spend their time on. We are soon to have no endgame raids, have spent the most of the past year with only one endgame raid, have tons of bugs that aren't fixed from the first expansion and before, and you want them to add in graphic fluff? Sorry but this is a horrible idea.

It seems like a nice enough idea; it is just not the time for it.

    Welcome to the DDO!

There is no need for such a class, we already have several jack of all trade classes and countless multi-class options that fill that role.

Artis and rogues are great examples of the core classes that can be jack of all trades, Bards, druids, wizards, rangers, etc, can all do the same with 1 or 2 rogue or arti levels. And there are deeper mulitclass builds (like the Juggernaut) that are one-character full parties.

Use your imagination and come up with a build that does what you want, that's half the point of 3.x D&D and DDO.
